The actors did a great job in this film.
It was very inspirational for me as a blogger and food junkie. I really appreciated how they painted Julia Child’s life and the romance that her and her husband had. There were some very sweet and funny moments. And the food looked delicious! I recognized the Beef Bourguignon recipe because I’ve made it before; oh so good!
The only thing I didn’t like about the Julie & Julia movie was the ending, but I guess it makes sense if you consider the timeline of both stories. Don’t get me wrong, it is a “happy” ending, just not what I expected. You’ll have to see the movie to know what I mean. I’d probably give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. I’d recommend it.
I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I now know what I want for Christmas; Julia Childs book: Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Vadim,… darling, they sell it at Costco, and probably all over the internet.

I really really loved this movie when I saw it. It really gave me the cooking itch again. Cooking can be tedious and boring, but it can also be so fun to create something, especially if it turns out really, really well. I need to go rent it and see it again.

I just saw this movie for the first time last night and loved it! I told Ben months ago that I wanted to see it, and last night he surprised me by coming home with the movie and a pizza. I know, I know–eating takeout pizza while watching a foodie movie?! But at least it was gourmet pizza…The movie inspired me to be more fearless in my cooking and baking–that means I have to experiment more with cooking meat, and actually make something with yeast–wish me luck!
Thats funny, come to think of it, we ate pizza while we watched that movie too! Mine was not exactly gourmet pizza. I like to buy the best frozen one I can find and put fresh toppings and loads of extra cheese on them. I usually have a backup one in the fridge for nights I’m feeling burned out. I loved the movie as well, and was sad to see what Julia didn’t like Julie project, but I guess that is just the way how it happen in a real life.

Loved the movie!!! I actually had to write a review on it for french class, and yes I do agree with you that it’s definatly not the ending you expect, nevertheless it was a great film. It actually made me want to cook (you remember me trying to make cute vareniki for nataliya y’s bday years ago). Loving your blog by the way:)
