… to our virtual holiday open house. Since it would be logistically impossible to have all of you over for a Christmas shindig, I’m inviting you to check out lots of photos from our virtual open house and I’ll have you know that I cleaned up just for you ;). I want to wish you all a wonderful and blessed Christmas! Christmas is tomorrow (like you all didn’t know) I’m just so excited! Read on to take the tour and see how we celebrate the birth of Christ :).

We start with my favorite: the Christmas tree. I see it from most spots in my Kitchen and I’m always starring at it while cooking. My finger tips are at higher risk of injury this time of year…

    Christmas Decorations 2014-5

    Scenes from our mantle:

That’s “ninja turkey” up there. My son named him. He is now a permanent member of the family and has secured a spot among the holiday decor. He and the little bird don’t get along, but they are civil. Kid art is the best! Children just make Christmas and life in general, so much richer. I love that the Christmas tree has 5 or 6 homemade ornaments that I treasure above any of the fancy store-bought ones.

Our Christmas card this year and this one is just for you! 🙂

    Christmas-Card

From our family to yours, have yourself the Merriest Christmas! We’ll be in church most of the day Thursday. What are you doing to celebrate? Church, gift exchanges, parties? Oh do share! 🙂

I was looking for a great kompot and can’t believe I found a real Ukrainian cook with a fantastic blog! I miss my husband’s kompoty. Our 3-year old son and I moved back to the US from Kyiv earlier this year [my husband is an officer in Debaveltse now and he’s an avid cook like you]. I was looking for some comfort food and drinks to remind me of my husband while he’s away. Veselykh sviat ta Rizvom Krystovym!

Your tree is the BEST! I decided that next year I’m doing a colorful tree as well. Homemade ornaments are where it’s at. Your family photo turned out perfect!…that is no small feat;) I hope you guys had a fabulous Christmas!

I love your website! Great decor and your family seems awesome. 🙂 After our Christmas lunch, I spent the rest of the day baking persimmon cakes for our grand family reunion tomorrow. All my cousins from different parts of the world will be here in Manila just for that. Have a great new year ahead of you! Thank you for sharing your life with all of us!

Loved the photos. Just sent Christmas greeting to my daughter who just move to California, first Christmas without her and to my daughter in Finland. My wife decided to break tradition this year so I’m making homemade pizza for our Christmas dinner. Merry Christmas to your family from mine.

Natasha, your blog is an answer to my prayer. Seriously! My cousin shared with me and I’m in love with it ever since. Even if I’m not planning to cook I just love reading your recipes. My 3 yr old son enjoys watching your videos too 🙂 Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing your family with our family. May God Bless You Abundantly! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

      Пастухи у огня, свет в пещере;
      Эта песня святая не раз
      Прибавляла мне силы и веры.

Love the pics….tonight we’re doing something totally different, my youngest granddaughters want an ugly sweater party with no sit down dinner…finger food, so that’s what it’ll be. We really celebrate Christmas on Jan. 7th with all the traditional foods.
