2 Days Till Christmas: Progressive Cooking Set Giveaway (Winner Announced)

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

This an awesome set of cooking and baking gear from Progressive. Nothing about these is basic. Each is uniquely designed to make cooking easier, cleaner (something my husband appreciates very much) and more fun!

We’re giving away a batter dispenser (can’t wait to try this for crepes!), A 3-cup flour sifter, A set of 3 lidded liquid measuring cups, a set of 4 dry ingredients measuring cups, and two-sided measuring spoons (I love that these are two-sided so you don’t have to wash them in between measuring two things!) This is our final giveaway before Christmas; we’ll draw the winner Christmas morning!

Congratulations to our Winner:
#174: Karin A. who wrote: I loved being at my grandma’s at Christmas when I was a kid. She had bubble lights on her tree and I could look at those for hours”

Karin, please check your email soon and reply within 72 hours. Congratulations again and Merry Christmas! – Natasha

Progressive Measuring Trio – Set of 3 – 1 cup, 2 cup & 4 cup Capacity
Giveaway Dexas (5)
Here’s what I love, love about these:

    • They pour without the dribble
    • You get a secure drip with the triangular shaped body
    • Lids! They have Lids! Makes for easy storage and you can shake things up in these.
    • 4 cup measuring; who doesn’t need that?
    • Microwave safe so you can measure hot or cold liquids (just not for melted butter; I haven’t tested this but if they say no, lets not try that at home).
    • Measurements in cups; ounces and milliliters
    • They are BPA free!

Progressive International 3 Cup Measuring Flour Sifter
Giveaway Dexas (4)

Why this flour sifter is my favorite:

  • It’s a sifter and duster in one!
  • The rotary flour sifter is efficient
  • The clear base can be used to catch the flour as it is sifted so it does’t make a huge mess!
  • There’s an extra fine mesh screen for dusting flour, cocoa or powdered sugar.

Progressive 5 Pc Set Snap Fit Measuring SpoonsGiveaway Dexas (8)
These are the dang (I don’t swear; ever!) sweetest measuring spoons I’ve ever come across. Here’s why:

  • They are not connected so you don’t have to wash all of them when you use one
  • They include standard and metric measurements
  • There are 5 spoons and one is for 1/4 tsp (why don’t they all come this way?)
  • Double sided spoons give you two sets in one!
  • You can reach into smaller spaces with narrow spoons
  • They lay flat on the countertop so the contents won’t spill if you set it down.
  • The colors are pretty (easy to find in the drawer

Progressive 4 Pc Set Snap Fit Measuring Cups
Giveaway Dexas (7)
What I love about the measuring cups:

  • They snap together for easy storage
  • Easy to read standard and metric measurements
  • The oval shape works well for narrow containers!

Progressive International Batter Dispenser
Giveaway Dexas (2)Giveaway Dexas (3)

It’s a cool invention. I could stop here, but you have to know why:

  • It’s dishwasher safe
  • Prepare, mix and dispense any smooth batter (all-in-one!)
  • Get a perfect portion with each squeeze of the handle
  • 3 portion settings
  • Designed to be drip-free so your counters stay clean
  • Check out the progressive video for this batter dispenser.

Make sure to visit the Progressive International Website to get some great gift ideas for the cooks in your life! Also follow Progressive on Facebook and check out their fun videos on Youtube.

My favorite Christmas memory is when my daughter was born a week before Christmas. So for Christmas day, my husband and I did not exchange gifts but rather we put our little bundle under the tree in her swing and we just sat there next to the fire recalling life events and amazing stories. Such a memorable day! 🙂

    Merry Christmas! Reply

A Christmas never to be forgotten. This is probably just a wee bit different from the Christmas memories of the others. In the early 1980’s, we (my wife and I and out two children, aged about nine and four), lived in a smallish, unique, wooden house with a dirt floor crawl space under the kitchen and only one bathroom. As luck would have it, we had had a cold snap the night before and the temps really dropped. In the crawl space, they were well below the freezing point. The water line to the kitchen froze. I dressed for the cold and got under the house with an electric hair dryer on a long extension cord. Forty five minutes later the water line was open and I was frozen. But inside the house another drama was ensuing. Unbeknownst to anyone, the younger boy had taken to putting his small Transformer toys into the toilet. He finally succeeded in completely clogging it up. Nothing would break the jam. The plumber came (don’t ask about his rates for a Christmas Day service call), and after the water was shut off, said he would have to lift the commode off its mountings to try to clean out the toys. But it was an old toilet and the base appeared to have a hairline crack. It might crack completely when he tried to lift it off. It did. So the family Christmas present was a new toilet. And the turkey was defrosting in the tub during all of this. All this happened about 30 years ago. None of us has forgotten it. Reply

My favorite Christmas memory is from when I was 6 years old. It was the first time my family (Grandparents, Uncles and Aunts, their kids, everyone) celebrated it together at my grandparents cabin in the white mountains. It was my first white Christmas, and I was playing outside with my siblings, and I was running and accidentally hit a tree! All the snow from the branches fell on top of me and my uncle had to help me get out from underneath it all, haha! Reply

Christmas Eve (Sviatey Vechyr) has always been my favorite holiday, with kutyia (and of course the tradition of throwing it up on the ceiling), the 12 meatless dishes — I’m 47 and I can’t wait to go to Mama’s tomorrow night and be with the family to celebrate another year of blessings together.

That said, the most memorable was the one when my Mother had a sore throat and could not say the blessing over the food and asked me to do it. I FINALLY felt like the generational baton had been passed. On the way home my husband asked why I was crying (non-stop) and I told him he could never understand — only those blessed with that gift can.

Thanks for your great blog — oh, and if I had your hair, I would flip it ever chance I got!!!
