December whirled by, partly because I feel like we worked through the entire month (probably took on more projects than we should have), but also because December always zooms by and it’s ridiculous to think we’re already past Christmas! Our tree is still up, or should I say my parents tree? And It will probably come done in a week or so.
I’m hanging on to the warmth and lights and fuzzy feelings that come with a home decked out for Christmas. It was weird not to be in our own home for Christmas since we are still house hunting and living with my parents, but honestly being here is as close to home as it can get! Watch our Christmas morning video clip below :).
Here’s a peek at our family Christmas morning. It’s kinda personal and cutesy if you’re into that sort of thing; complete with special snow effects by my husband :). And there is relaxing music so pump up the volume!

Update: yeah we’re still house hunting and have been looking for 8 months. Maybe we’re too picky? But the fact that we work, and live at home makes us that way. I just know when we finally find our house, we’ll look back and realize why it took so long and be thankful to God for his good timing. And next year when I tear open all my own Christmas decor (currently packed away in storage), it will feel almost brand new and at the same time bring back warm memories of our first home, I’m sure.
Hey by the way, do you want to take our tour of our first home of 13 years that we sold this past spring? My husband put together this slideshow which I’m sure helped us sell our home and now serves as our own little keepsake. Also, it was only that clean when it was on the market. lol.

Family Photos 2016
Our kids are growing so fast which is why we take annual pictures. Here are our favorites :). These photos were taken by my friend Alla of In A Dream Photography. I love how she captures the warmth of life in a natural way. And I’m so happy to share these with you! We can pretend you’re scrolling through the family album in our living room :).
I feel undeserving and humbled by the numbers and milestones we hit this year both in our family and with our blog. God is so good and you all are absolutely the sweetest people on the planet.
