Grand Finale

Sun rippened and still warm from mom’s garden. Each so perfect; beckoning me to scarf them at once. Or should I enjoy them slowly; one at a time, so they last and last… Before I can make up my mind, I have squirrel cheeks. Every drupelet exploding at once; a grand finale. It was worth it!
I think you should put them on your 10 fingertips and look at how pretty they look until you can’t stand it any longer. Then you can eat them.
Julia I can totally see you doing that!
I have never eaten berries I’ve picked myself. I want to so bad! BTW, for the Pillsbury Pie contest at our state fair this year I will be using fresh raspberries. I will post the recipe later after the fair, but it is a cream pie.
A cream pie with raspberries; sounds delicious, I’ll keep checking your site for it. You are an excellent baker. I hope you win 1st place!
Aw, thank you! I have about .1% hope (and even less chances) that I might place at all as there are so many that enter that contest but since I’m going to be there that day anyway, I figured I may as well bring a pie. It’s kind of fun to watch the ladies taste your pie and discuss it before moving on. They were really tickled by my pie last year, which is on my blog, called “Razzcherry Pie.” But I think they were more tickled by the name of it than the taste b/c it didn’t place at all-lol!
I just found the razzcherry pie on your site. Y-U-M-M! Wish I found it when I had oodles of cherries on hand!
