John Boos Block & Mystery Oil Giveaway (3 Winners Announced!)

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Ok. This is the best cutting board on the market. Actually, to call it a cutting board isn’t really doing it justice. It is a gourmet block. It’s gorgeous and hefty (1 1/2″ thick!) so it doesn’t lend itself to warping.

This is our second block by John Boos. You’ve probably seen it on our YouTube cooking channel. It will make you feel like a celebrity chef wielding your knife over one of these beauties. What better way to celebrate Valentines day than to shower a little love on y’all with a giveaway? 🙂

These blocks are meant to stand the test of time. Have you noticed this is the preferred block of Food Network Chefs and top chefs around the world? Ina Garten has this board in her kitchen!!

Every time I spot the Boos brand on a cooking show, I get all excited – I’m such a kitchen nerd. The super exciting news: Thanks to John Boos & Co., three of you will win this beautiful cutting board and each winner will also receive 3 bottles of mystery oil.

John Boos Block Review & Fantastic Giveaway (3 winners!) from @natashaskitchen

Why I love this professional John Boos block:

1. Made of Northern Hard Rock Maple (it’s super sturdy)

2. It’s easy on your knives and preserves their edge

3. It has handles on both sides for easier transfer

4. It’s made of renewable and sustainable hardwood (tree hugger appeal)

5. Made in the USA by a company whose been around for 125+ yrs!

6. They look really pretty on the kitchen counter. I leave mine out.

7. It’s a big-one (but not too big): 20 x 15 x 1-1/2” – lots of room to play

So what’s this Mystery Oil stuff?

The Mystery Oil preserves your board and keeps it looking beautiful. It keeps the surface gorgeous and prevents warping, cracking, etc.

How and When do I use it?

It’s recommended that you use it every 3-4 weeks (depending on how often you use your block). The three bottles will last you a loooong time. Here’s a great reference for block care.

Can I ingest it?

That’s a bad plan. However, it is food safe so you don’t have to worry about getting trace amounts on your food. You can also use it on other wood cutting boards or rolling pins you own to keep ’em real perdy :).

P.S. We also love the Boos Block Board Cream (a wood conditioner, which is very nice if you live in a dry climate – you can compare it to a leave in conditioner for your hair. Just don’t use it that way – that’s also a no-go.

Hi Natalia, are you still not seeing it. It loaded right away for me. It may be the device you are trying to view it from. For me, I always have trouble with it loading on my phone, but on the desktop computer, it comes up easily. I contacted the company about why this might be – still waiting to hear back. I hope you’re able to load it now. Thanks for letting me know. Reply
