Spring Cleaning

Step one of spring cleaning was to tackle our pantry (it was more of an overhaul). It’s amazing how a tiny pantry can hide so much! I discovered some ingredients that I had no idea existed in there, which meant they needed to be tossed.

I’m a little embarrassed to show you what my pantry used to look like, but I hope it inspires you to tidy up your pantry. And, make sure to enter the Progressive Keepers Giveaway below (you don’t have to be a mom to enter) Did I mention there are two winners? And the Winners are…

Now for the before pictures (eeek, eeek, eeek!! Somebody close the door!):

Oooh, Ahh…

Spring Cleaning Progressive Giveaway-18

I think my pantry is a happier place. Thanks Progressive! My husband stood back and just stared in adoration at our pantry after it was clean. It was his dream come true (he’s Mr. Tidy pants).

Spring Cleaning Progressive Giveaway-7-2

The GIVEAWAY!

Here’s what is included in the giveaway and each winner will win the full set of keepers (minus the labels that I printed off at home and the food inside of the keepers ;)).
1. Flour Keeper. Did you notice this is (1) Big and (2) it has a scraper for exact measurements? Progressive makes the ideal flour keeper.

Spring Cleaning Progressive Giveaway-15

2. Brown Sugar Keeper: You soak this special terracotta disk for 15 min in room temp water, pat it dry and put it into your brown sugar to keep it from drying out up to 3 months!

Spring Cleaning Progressive Giveaway-8

3. Progressive Powdered Sugar Keeper: This has very handy sifter and scraper features! Spring Cleaning Progressive Giveaway-5-2Spring Cleaning Progressive Giveaway-6-2

4. Progressive’s Mini Keeper is great for herbs, spices or in my case; baking soda. I got tired of reaching into that little cardboard box and having to keep the box covered with a ziploc bag. I love how it has a way to scrape the spoon and get an exact measurement

Spring Cleaning Progressive Giveaway-6

5. The Bread Keeper by Progressive is pretty cool. It holds two Costco-sized loaves and keeps bread, croissants, bagels or any baked goods fresh. This keeper has a convenient little slicing bread board in there and adjustable air vents.

I just actually cleaned out most of my cupboards and pantry. I usually reuse the large plastic cans from mayo to store my grains and kasha. I do have a cereal box I use for sugar. But I would still like to have a matching set for some of the items. I love that they have scrapers for exact measuring, I know what you mean about baking soda! Brown sugar keeper will be nice too. But the best item here would be the bread keeper. My bread is either somewhere in back of the fridge, or out on counters in their original bags :-(. Happy Mother’s day to all

Well this is my first giveaway I will try to win so here I go. I would use the Progressive Keepers to organize my newly remodeled kitchen. Right now, all my stuff sits on the counter double-bagged. I’ve never found nice enough containers for all my flours and sugars, so I’d definitely use them in a similar fashion, but they’d still sit on my counter (because I have no space).

I live in a small condo with a family of 5 and have tiny kitchen. My cabinets are so unorganized ( if you aw mine, you’d think yours weren’t even that bad in the beginning) I would use the containers to organize all my flours, sugar, baking soda, etc and help it from spilling all our the place and most importantly keeping it all fresh. i dont use brown sugar often and every time i end up using it, its so hard.Im excited for this giveaway

That being said, I haven’t been able to afford more of the containers for my almond flour, baking soda, etc., so this would be a wonderful addition to organizing my pantry. Oh, my gosh, my pantry looks exactly like that. I gave it a good going over a few months ago but it still somehow reverted to a disaster almost immediately. I really like the looks of that little baking soda container. I’ve lost more than one box of baking soda that got knocked off the shelf and blew everywhere because there’s no way to close them properly. What a great giveaway! And your pantry looks beautiful!
