We planned to remodel our kitchen this year but had to put things on hold with a new baby in the mix :). Instead, we’re focusing on making small changes to improve the look and functionality of our kitchen. When Moen asked us to review this new faucet, we didn’t have to think twice.
We knew that this was exactly the kind of update we needed to modernize the look of the busiest spot in our home: the kitchen sink. Did I mention this faucet has MotionSense™ technology? It makes my humble kitchen feel so fancy! 🙂 We’ve had a Moen faucet for the past 8 years and decided it was time for an update. We really wanted to stay with the same brand since we’ve been so pleased with Moen. You see, a few years back, when we needed a part replaced, we contacted Moen. Their lifetime warranty and customer service is unmatched. They are, after all, the #1 faucet brand in North America.
The Old Faucet:
Cons: Lots of separate bases and crevices to keep clean, and the sprayer hose sometimes needed to be finagled back into its spot.
And it was always a struggle for our son to reach the handle to wash his hands, as evidenced here:
The Installation:
My engineers :). Taking out the old faucet seemed to take more time than putting in the new one. The installation instructions were clear and there was even a video on YouTube showing exactly how to install it.
What we LOVE about this new faucet:
(1) The hands-free convenience of Moen’s MotionSense™ technology.
Now I’m dreaming about this technology for our bathroom faucets, which would be a dream-come-true for a germaphobe like myself. Thankfully they also have bathroom faucets… and shower heads and even sinks!
The only “downside” to MotionSense™ technology is that not everyone has it. I visited my sister’s house the other day and put my hands under the faucet waiting for it to turn on, but it never did ;). You can also disable your MotionSense™ for guests who aren’t used to using it, but wouldn’t it be a lot more fun to watch their surprise when the faucet turns on by itself?
(2) It’s perdy.
I catch myself staring at it. I love the beautiful high arch which also makes it easy to get large pots and cutting boards under it.
(3) The self-retracting hose.
No more fighting with the sprayer. It smoothly docks back into place from any distance or angle. It puts itself away :). It’s also very easy to maneuver and I love that there are buttons on the spout to control the sprayer.

We have an old faucet in our house and been struggling with it while cooking or baking. My 2 little kiddos cant reach the faucet so id have to raise them up for them to wash their hands and faces. This faucet would help out a lot for my kids to use as well as myself Currently, my son(6yrs old) climbs on the counter to turn on the faucet to wash hands or has to drag a chair to reach it. My daughter(4 1/2yrs old)is starting to want to wash dishes and had to lean over the sink to reach the water coming out from faucet. This would change be amazing thing to have in my kitchen. Also, it would be a major time saver too.
Our home was built in the 70’s and unfortunately it is still stuck in the 70s although we are slowly remodeling each and every room it does take time. We recently redone the counter tops, sink and cabinets in our kitchen so a new faucet from Moen would finish off our kitchen remodel project!
This Moen faucet would make my life easier especially the self-retracting hose.
This sink would be a great upgrade in our kitchen. Having four kids, the touch less faucet would be amazing.

The Moen faucet will change my kitchen into a dream come true, I am actually looking for a faucet since my current one is due to be replaced. I have 3 boys and it is very hard to reach and turn it on for my youngest ones. I am cannot stand dirty/sticky hand and find myself washing my hands very often. The new faucet from Moen would change the over all look in my kitchen. It will also elevate my mood to cook more and experiment with food.
Our kitchen faucet is quite old and is leaking already so having a new kitchen faucet would make it so much easier and wouldn’t look so terrible.
While a faucet may not be the focal point of the kitchen, it does help or hinder your daily work

First of all, a new Moen faucet would make my kitchen look more “perdy,” as you say. 🙂 But the looks aren’t the only reason – it looks very convenient! I have some big cutting boards (that I mostly use for making dough) and I would love to clean them without it being a pain in the behind!

Hubby got me Moen sink couple months ago and let me tell you it takes time getting used to it. lol I ruined so much food forgetting that the sink can turn on its own and my sleeves were always wet too. Once i got used to it, now i wave everywhere, even bathrooms before i realize i have to turn the faucet on. lol
