Basil Pesto Recipe

- 1 cup fresh basil leaves packed
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin is best
- 1/4 cup pine nuts or walnuts
- 1 large or 2 small garlic cloves
- 1/8 cup lemon juice or juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
Wash and dry the basil leaves.
Place basil into a food processor, add cheese, nuts, garlic cloves, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Process until smooth.
