    it’s a delicious sweet and sour recipe. The only difference for me is adding half the sweet and sour mixture right in with the meatloaf then 10 minutes before I’m ready to take it out I brush on the rest the sweet and sour. Because I like the taste of sweet and sour all the way through. In order to do this you have to add 1/2 to full cup more bread crumbs. Incredibles taste all the way through Reply

    Hey sweetie, I make shrimp and pasta every Tuesday, for family and friends, it’s so good. I’m cooking with gas so it heats fast, therefore, I cook the shrimp in olive and butter, remove them, then put the garlic, wine and pasta water. It’s perfect every time! Thank you. Reply

      We use the oven canning process but I included the updated standard canning process if that is a more comfortable method for you. You do not have to do both. Reply

      Hi Mary, we don’t currently since we don’t really have a good source for it in Idaho and don’t prepare it, but here are all of our seafood recipes which you might be able to adapt for catfish. Reply

    I just want to say thank you and your husband for such a wonderful job you guys do!!! I praise God for the talent He gave you and thank you for fulfilling your purpose in life, you help so many people. At age 30+ I finally learned how to make bulochki, and my husband admitted that those tasted better than his mom’s ( my mother in love is an amazing cook and she is known for her bulki/bulochki/pirozhki so that tells a lot).     Hi Natasha, I’ve just been looking at your genoise sponge recipe. Can you tell me if the Genoise sponge base is strong enough to hold a covering of fondant. I’m just looking for alternative sponges for celebratory decorative cakes which will be strong enough to withstand the weight of fondant on them other than Madeira.

      Hi Pamela! I have put ganache on it but I honestly don’t have any experience with fondant. It may be a little soft for fondant unless you put a stiffer buttercream over it first – that may work Reply

    Natasha. U should try making veggie cake from zucchini fritters. Just make them small skillet size or small plate. Then put layer of mayo w garlic and dill. Add shredded cheesd amd tomatoe slices. Add onion and carrot zazharka Then another layer of pancake zucchini. I use ur recipe just make bigger ones. Same again. Layer of mayo w garlic and dill, tomatoe slices, cheese and zazjarka. I do 3 layers. Top layer get fresh green dill. Cakelike and ao tasty Reply

    On your blueberry lemon cake, can you substitute a healthier flour other than white flour…maybe coconut flour, and organic sugar or honey instead of white flour. Reply

      Hi Damaris, I haven’t tried coconut flour so It is difficult to guess, I also searched the comments and no one has mentioned trying it so I can’t say for sure. I haven’t experimented with any other sweeteners either but I definitely think it is worth testing! It’s so difficult to say since baking is so much a science that needs experimentation. Sorry I can’t be much help. Reply

I have a set of measuring matroshki in my kitchen just for decor but they are different than these and not accurate for measuring but they are super cute. How are the Fred and Friends measuring cups when it comes to accuracy? Those spoons are super cute too! Reply

        They are accurate. I have double checked them with my Williams-Sonoma measuring sets. The white measuring cup set is also sold through the Museum of Modern Art website (yes, the MoMA of New York City). Who knew our beloved matroyshkas would be included in the lofty halls of modern art! Reply

    Hi Natasha,
    First of all, thank you for your site and for the great recipes! I’m a big fan. I have a question for you. Do you pack school lunches for your kids? If so, what are yours and your kids’ favorite lunches to pack? The reason I’m asking is that every day I have to pack a school lunch for a 5-year old who is a very picky eater and I constantly rack my brains trying to come up with foods she will like.

      It’s kind of hit and miss as to what my son will eat. I pack him lunches most days and it’s usually a sandwich or a tortilla wrap with cream cheese, shredded lettuce, sandwich meat, cheese, sometimes tomato; rolled and then cut into pin-wheels. I also pack him things like string cheese, dried fruits (he loves prunes, figs and dried apricots), sugar snap peas or baby carrots and I bought tiny condiment holders for ranch from Fred Meyer. I hope that’s helpful :). You might check out weelicious.com for more kids lunch ideas; that is her specialty πŸ™‚ Reply

      Hi Tanya, I currently just have the California roll sushi because that is pretty much the only one I will eat; in addition to cooked shrimp sushi. I’m nervous about eating raw fish, especially with pregnancy. Have you had a chance to check out the Cali rolls recipe? Reply

      We go to church in Meridian Idaho; our church is Full Gospel Slavic Church. We include Russian, Ukrainian and the English language (for the youth). What do you mean by apex? Reply
