Shrimp Pasta in a Creamy Tomato Sauce (Video)

Spaghetti with Shrimp in a creamy tomato sauce. Excellent 30-minute meal! @natashaskitchen

I love a good 30-minute meal, and apparently so do you! This shrimp pasta recipe has been pinned and shared a crazy amount (thank you by the way!). It is easily one of the most popular recipes on my blog. The pasta is creamy but light (with just 1/2 cup of cream!) and it’s loaded with plump juicy shrimp.

The sauce will win you over; it’s so easy to make and the flavor is nothing short of gourmet. This yummy dish is so inviting and always a crowd pleaser. Pull up a chair and enjoy the video tutorial to see just how easy and delicious this is – you won’t want to miss the taste test ;).

Hi Natasha. This has got to be one of the most delicious meals to ever come from my kitchen!
My sister sent me the recipe after cooking this herself and I am definitely hooked. Can’t wait to make this delicacy again and try out your other recipes.😊
And oh, I’m so happy I used the wine. I hardly ever cook with wine but decided to stick with the recipe this time and you are so right, the wine adds such a bang to this meal😁. Thanks once again

Can I use 18% cream instead of whipping cream?

I haven’t tried that yet, I recommend heavy cream but I imagine that will work too. Let us know how it goes if you try it!

Hi; is there a substitution for the wine. I would like to try this but would prefer not to use the wine.

Hi Minnie, the wine really makes the flavor shine in this dish. I don’t think it would be the same without it. You could substitute with chicken broth if needed but it wouldn’t be as flavorful

Hi Colleen, diced sausage sounds nice, although I haven’t tried red wine here so I can’t speak to that. I always stick to white wine. It would definitely change the color of the sauce/pasta.

I’m not exactly sure but I have heard that your not supposed to add oil to pasta water or rinse it after its done

Im not exactly sure of the reasons. Do you know why?

      Also pls make a restaurant

Thank you Luca! It depends on what your plan/ next step is for this pasta, in this case, it will cool the pasta and prevent absorption of your sauce.

Always rinse pasta to remove some starch…has nothing to do with sauces sticking to it.

Hi Natasha, we like this recipe and have been making it a lot lately. Thank you!
Today I tried out a new recipe and immediately thought about you. Didn’t find anything similar on your blog and can’t wait to share it with you. So, it’s ziti pasta with salmon/zucchini/tomato sauce. It’s a very quick recipe so start with making pasta and cook the sauce during that time. First, dice zucchini in small cubes and cook them on a skillet with a little bit of oil. Meanwhile, take skin off of a small tomato and dice it the same small size cubes. Also, half some cherry tomatoes. Add tomatoes to zucchini. Cook till tomatoes are soft and then add cubed salmon. Salmon should be of a bite size. Few more minutes and it’s ready. Salt and pepper, of course. I didn’t add any other spices and it was delicious. My kids that don’t eat fish usually loved this pasta. It’s very easy and good.
