Personal blog posts are my favorite both to read and write. Maybe that’s why I love snapchat so much (find me there @natashaskitchen) – it’s in the moment, raw, real. This is the life we live when we aren’t throwing flour around the kitchen or sitting in front of a computer screen answering your pressing cooking questions. As much as I love my work, we definitely aren’t all business around here.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and if you’re not interested, no worries ?, I have about 600 recipes for you to explore. Thanks so much for following our blog and sharing it with the people you love. I appreciate you more than you know!
On to the double birthday party. Let the good times roll…
We celebrated my niece’s and nephew’s birthdays and my sister pulled off a really fun Mermaid/ Construction themed double birthday party!
“I got this..” the determination on my nephews face.
My sister spent about an hour making each mermaid/merman tail. The kids loved them!
Even baby D got a tail although she looked more like a fish than a mermaid ?
That shirt was from us. I saw it at Target and could not resist! My husband said this is what happens when you go shopping on a hungry stomach.
If only bubble wrap were this exciting for adults, life would be way more fun!
My handsome guys 🙂
This was my very favorite picture from the party. I laughed for awhile. My nephew got ahold of endless sweets and went to town. My husband found him this way. His arms, his face, his shirt. lol
I made the birthday cake!! This one will be on my blog Next Tuesday and just in time for Mother’s Day so stay tuned! 🙂
My nephews expression (on the far left). I think he wanted those candles.
We may or may not have been sampling those eggs stuffed with bacon.
My beautiful Mama and sisters.
Truth is, when you have a trampoline, you have a party.
I get the feeling this summer is going to be back to back birthdays and road trips and family BBQ’s. I’m so thankful for it all. My parents cleaned out their pool a couple of days ago and now the water is slowly warming up. Today we should hit 90˚F! Good thing I started jogging last week ;). I’m working off those last 5 lbs of baby (and dessert) weight.
Q: Do you have any fun plans for the summer? I’d love to hear about it in a comment below!
Love the pics Natasha! The one with the stuffed eggs, your face is priceless!!! Made me laugh! I have a question, how come you are the only one with dark hair?! And I just wanted to say that you look great!
Ha ha thanks! The dark hair was inherited from my Father :). My mom and sisters are all blond and I’m brunette, but I do enjoy my color 🙂
