… to our virtual holiday open house. Since it would be logistically impossible to have all of you over for a Christmas shindig, I’m inviting you to check out lots of photos from our virtual open house and I’ll have you know that I cleaned up just for you ;). I want to wish you all a wonderful and blessed Christmas! Christmas is tomorrow (like you all didn’t know) I’m just so excited! Read on to take the tour and see how we celebrate the birth of Christ :).
We start with my favorite: the Christmas tree. I see it from most spots in my Kitchen and I’m always starring at it while cooking. My finger tips are at higher risk of injury this time of year…
Scenes from our mantle:
That’s “ninja turkey” up there. My son named him. He is now a permanent member of the family and has secured a spot among the holiday decor. He and the little bird don’t get along, but they are civil. Kid art is the best! Children just make Christmas and life in general, so much richer. I love that the Christmas tree has 5 or 6 homemade ornaments that I treasure above any of the fancy store-bought ones.
Meet our furry friends. They hang out on the dining table:
And scenes from our living room buffet:
Are you read for kissy pictures? If not, scroll fast!!
Oh, just one more!
I love how our son acts like he’s never seen it before! sheesh! lol.
Our Christmas card this year and this one is just for you! 🙂
From our family to yours, have yourself the Merriest Christmas! We’ll be in church most of the day Thursday. What are you doing to celebrate? Church, gift exchanges, parties? Oh do share! 🙂
Such a beautiful family! Love you home, your christmas tree, and all the decorations! Sorry for belated wishes. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Thank you so much! Shinee you are so sweet 🙂 Merry Christmas (European Christmas is January 7th, so you’re still on time ;)), and have a wonderful and blessed New Year! 🙂
You have such a beautiful family! Your son is just too cute, I want to eat him up!
I hope you have a wonderful 2015!
Teresa
Thank you Teresa! Have an awesome New Year! 🙂
Sorry I don’t think she has a recipe for her son! 🙂 😛
I was looking for a great kompot and can’t believe I found a real Ukrainian cook with a fantastic blog! I miss my husband’s kompoty. Our 3-year old son and I moved back to the US from Kyiv earlier this year [my husband is an officer in Debaveltse now and he’s an avid cook like you]. I was looking for some comfort food and drinks to remind me of my husband while he’s away. Veselykh sviat ta Rizvom Krystovym!
That must be tough to be apart :(. I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed New Years! I’m so happy you found my blog and I hope you find many new favorite recipes 🙂
Your tree is the BEST! I decided that next year I’m doing a colorful tree as well. Homemade ornaments are where it’s at. Your family photo turned out perfect!…that is no small feat;) I hope you guys had a fabulous Christmas!
Thank you so much Olviya :). Photos with kids and a giant belly are never easy. lol. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have a blessed New Year!

Siete una famiglia splendida. Buon Natale anche a voi!
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas to you! 🙂
I love your website! Great decor and your family seems awesome. 🙂 After our Christmas lunch, I spent the rest of the day baking persimmon cakes for our grand family reunion tomorrow. All my cousins from different parts of the world will be here in Manila just for that. Have a great new year ahead of you! Thank you for sharing your life with all of us!
Persimmon cakes sound incredible! Is there a recipe you could share? I have to ask, you know 🙂 Have a wonderful Christmas! That family reunion sounds so fun!
Love Your family pic! where is your gray top from?
Thank you so much Olga. It’s from TJ Max, which makes it “one of a kind.” lol. We know it’s hard to find the same thing twice in those kind of stores. 🙂
Loved the photos. Just sent Christmas greeting to my daughter who just move to California, first Christmas without her and to my daughter in Finland. My wife decided to break tradition this year so I’m making homemade pizza for our Christmas dinner. Merry Christmas to your family from mine.
Thank you so much Mark! 🙂 That must be tough being away from family during the holidays. Homemade pizza sounds like a really yummy new tradition though! 🙂 Merry Christmas!
Natasha, your blog is an answer to my prayer. Seriously! My cousin shared with me and I’m in love with it ever since. Even if I’m not planning to cook I just love reading your recipes. My 3 yr old son enjoys watching your videos too 🙂 Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing your family with our family. May God Bless You Abundantly! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Пастухи у огня, свет в пещере;

You have a beautiful family and pretty decor. We will gather with my family today at my house. Tomorrow we are off to church than gathering with my husbands family. It’s the best time of the year. So much food, cookies, cakes you name it. But the best part is just to be with family. Merry Christmas to you!!!!
I couldn’t agree with you more! Family is the best part. Thank you so much for sharing and have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
Love the pics….tonight we’re doing something totally different, my youngest granddaughters want an ugly sweater party with no sit down dinner…finger food, so that’s what it’ll be. We really celebrate Christmas on Jan. 7th with all the traditional foods.
I absolutely love that we get to celebrate on the 7th as well! That ugly sweater party sounds awesome! How fun!!
