This is the best Baklava I’ve ever tried and tastes pretty dang authentic, according to my Greek readers. This baklava recipe is a keeper! I typically make it for parties and holidays but if you’re craving it right now (I don’t blame you for a second!), you can freeze portions or the entire batch for later. More deets on that below!

DID YOU KNOW this is a make-ahead dessert? YAASSS!! It’s true! Baklava stays great at room temperature for at least a week and you can freeze it for several months – amazingly, the crisp layers stay crisp while the centers are perfectly moist with a subtle nutty crunch.
