I’m sipping on this feel good pick-me-up blueberry pear smoothie as I type. This makes a great breakfast smoothie because it gives me a nice jolt of energy. With a 10-month old baby that still wakes up a couple times a night, I’ll take all the energy I can get! This blueberry pear smoothie also packs alot of protein so it keeps my energy levels up. Super healthy, easy (with 4 ingredients) and so tasty!

We down the most smoothies in winter because fruit is much more reasonable in the freezer isle and we otherwise would not consume nearly as much fruit in the cold months. Smoothies also help us feel better about our”eat healthier” new year’s resolutions ;).

Blueberry Pear Smoothie Ingredients:

1/2 cup cold water
1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt (whole fat, low fat or fat free work great)
1-2 Tbsp honey or agave, or to taste
1 pear, quartered and seeded
2 cups frozen blueberries

What you will need:

A Blender (here’s the one I use)

  • Looks delicious! Did you find that with the Vitamix you were able to minimize that gritty texture from the pears? Reply

This sounds lovely! Will be on the lookout for organic pears and blueberries. Still hoping for a high-powered blender that can make a smoothie like this truly smooth. 🙂 One of these days…. Reply

I hope you can get one soon :). It makes all the difference in how enjoyable smoothies are. We consume way more fruit and vegetables when we upgraded from our standard blender. Reply

I agree with you about that much needed jolt of energy. Nathaniel still wakes up at night, so I feel like I’m always tired. Lol.
I love how simple your recipes are but are so delicious. Great ingredients don’t need too much help – at least that’s what I always say. I like that you added Greek yogurt; it makes smoothies extra creamy. I’ve never tried a blueberry and pear combination, but it sounds delicious. I’ll have to give it a try soon. Reply

How many times a night is your little guy waking up? Baby D gets up 1-2 times still and broken sleep is exhausting. But I have to remember it’s temporary. I agree, good ingredients don’t need much help and that’s why I love smoothies – no cooking required and they are so good for you! 🙂 Reply

Nathaniel still wakes up at least 2 times each night:(. He has slept through the night twice last month, so maybe I’ll start getting more sleep soon? Reply

I adore blueberries, except for those microscopic seeds that seem to find their way between my teeth.

Ok, I sound like such an old lady!

Love this smoothie, Natasha. I’m going to make it for my baby this w/end. Reply

Ha ha that’s like me and chia seeds although I still can’t resist eating them :). I don’t really recall having the blueberry seed issue using my Blendtec blender. It pulverizes everything! 🙂 Thank you so much Coco. I hope you love the smoothie! Reply
