Quick and Easy Fruit Salad

This fruit salad is a real "crowd pleaser" and tends to go fast. You can mix fresh or frozen fruit together which makes it "perfect" for any season.

I’m not sure where this fruit salad recipe originated (any takers?), but it usually claims a “spot” among all the yummy desserts at our Ukrainian church potlucks.

This fruit salad is a real “crowd pleaser” and tends to go fast. Did I mention it’s EASY?? You can “plant” any of your favorite fruits in this. You can mix fresh or frozen fruit together which makes it “perfect” for any season. The “cheaper fruit” works best to “bulk up” the final product (apples, bananas, grapes….).

You can easily double or triple the recipe for a “party” (we know it’s really just going into your fridge). Did my ridiculous quotations “get to you?” Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

Ingredients for the Fruit Salad:

1 Cup of Strawberries
1 cup of raspberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup of grapes
1 cup of diced apples
1 cup of sliced bananas
Or whatever fruit you fancy (melon, blackberries, pears, etc..)
1/2 cup of yogurt (strawberry or vanilla)
1/2 cup of cool whip (or whip your own cream)

This fruit salad is a real "crowd pleaser" and tends to go fast. You can mix fresh or frozen fruit together which makes it "perfect" for any season.

How to Make the Fruit Salad:

1. Place all of the prepared fruit in a medium bowl.

2. Stir in Yogurt and Cool Whip. Sample the deliciousness… then gobble up a little more.

See; easy  🙂 Hope you and your loved ones enjoy the simplicity and flavor of this fruit salad.

Hi was wondering if this would last 3-5 days in the fridge? I’m the only one who’d eat it and want to incorporate more fruit into my diet if not I’ll just halve the recipe it looks great thank you!

Hi Luis, This salad is best enjoyed the day it’s made but you could probably keep leftovers for a couple of days, the dressing keeps the fruit from changing color.

Thank you so much for this recipe! I needed something for a quick breakfast potluck.
I did add honey and a splash of vanilla because I only have plain greek yogurt and I had to make my own whipped cream.

Can we leave cool whip and use yoghurt alone?

Hi, the cool whip does add a richness to the sauce and it won’t be quite the same. I think it’s worth experimenting with, but it will definitely be less sweet especially if using plain yogurt.
