The combination of club soda, cherry syrup and ice creates some incredible fizz in this sparkling cherry lemonade. Seriously, don’t take your eye off it when you’re adding the club sodie pop. Consider yourself warned.
This sparkling cherry lemonade is so delightful and thirst quenching. It’s perfect on a hot day and makes an impressive party drink. You can make the syrup ahead of time and keep it in the fridge up to a week!
This is how we used up the rest of the cherries sent to us from NW Cherry Growers and OXO as part of the 10lb cherry challenge. We went wild and made 2 recipes; the first was this Drunken Cherry Cake. Of course there are ~7 lbs that went unaccounted for. We ate them. They were so tasty and I’m not sorry.
Thank you so much to all who entered the giveaway and for sharing it with your friends and families! (Giveaway is now closed)

Simple Ingredients for Easy Cherry Lemonade:
Everything you need to make a refreshing and thirst-quenching summer party cherry lemonade!
How to Make the Best Cherry Lemonade Syrup:
1. Weight out 1 lb of cherries. P.S. This is the OXO Food Scale. If you don’t already have one, I highly recommend it. If you do already have one, give it to your sister and get this one.
Rinse, drain and pit your cherries. These OXO strainers and bowls were handy; great for rinsing and storing cherries. I really really liked this set of bowls/colanders and they nest and store away really well.
The OXO cherry pitter makes it easy and little hands love to use it too. (P.S. We’re giving a couple of these OXO pitters away; see details below!). These two kiddos sure got a kick out of the OXO pitters.
If your children are using these, make sure they are wearing an apron or their ugly clothes. Despite the brilliant splash guard on the pitters, my son ended up with cherry juice everywhere. He’s 4. He’s a boy. Need I say more
2. In a blender, combine 3 cups pitted cherries, 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (you might extract more if you really get angry with your lemons) and 1 cup sugar. If you’re cutting down on sugar in your life, feel free to use 3/4 cup sugar. Blend until smooth. You don’t want pieces of cherry to get stuck in your straw
Creating Sparkling Cherry Lemonade:
1. Fill a glass half way with ice. Pour 2-3 Tbsp of your cherry syrup over your ice and add club soda to taste. I used roughly 1/4 cup syrup to 3/4 cup club soda. You can do it to taste.
Top with a fresh cherry (or 5) and serve. You’re gonna love the fizzle. My sisters both said this was restaurant quality except WAY cheaper!

I LOVE cherries!! I would eat as much as I could eat! If there was anything left, I’m definitely interested in this lemonade and I would also probably make some cherry turnovers (maybe with a chocolate crust!)
I would eat some of them and freeze the rest of them to make kampot:)
I’d make cherry coffee cake and freeze rest of cherries to make cherry pie later. Thanks

10 pounds is not all that much, considering how yummy they are… they would simply be eaten. My kids love cherries.

Eat them raw and make varenya, kompot, vareniki, cherry cakes and bulochki with cherries of course!
Yumm! If I had 10lbs of cherries, I would be tempted to eat them all! Of course not in one sitting. 🙂 I love vereniki with cherries, and would enlist my sis in law to help me make the traditional Ukrainian cherry cake. This drink looks delicious so I would definitely give it a whirl!
