Chicken Mango Salad:
Last week’s date night to the Cheesecake Factory, resulted in the discovery of this Chicken Mango Avocado Salad. The combination of sweet, savory and tangy ingredients make this a refreshing and memorable summer salad and the honey vinaigrette couldn’t be easier!
I highly highly recommend you top this with the toasted almonds (I forgot to toss them in before photographing but they add a nice crunch and compliment the mango very well. The Cheesecake Factory recipe had wonton strips over the top but I wasn’t too keen on them – just extra calories without much flavor. We loved the toasted almonds 100 times more – crunchy, nutty, fragrant and guilt-free!
Chicken Avocado Mango Salad Ingredients:
The combination of flavors and textures makes this a very exciting salad to eat! It is loaded with juicy chicken, crisp lettuce, sweet mango, creamy avocado and crunchy almonds – this salad is a winner! No wonder it is such a popular cheesecake factory recipe.
If you love mangos, a mango slicer makes it easy and efficient to cut out the pit. Also, every salad lover should have a salad spinner in their kitchen. It is a major time-saving tool. You can rinse, drain and spin dry in just a couple of minutes. No more soggy salads!
How to Cut a Mango:
1. A mango has one long, flat seed that goes from stem to nose. If you don’t have a mango slicer, you can cut a mango with a sharp slim knife: slice off the sides around the seeds keeping as close to the seed as you can. Scoop the flesh out of the skin and slice or dice desired.
The SECRET to Perfectly Sauteed Chicken:
See that juicy chicken? The KEY to juicy sauteed chicken every time is using an instant-read thermometer. Remove the chicken from the pan once it reaches 165˚F.

Q: Do you have a favorite Summer Salad? I would love to hear from YOU in a comment below!
This looks so refreshing however, I’m allergic to mangos. What would you recommend as a substitute? Thank you!
Hi Rosi, I haven’t tried another substitution but one of our readers commented this “I made this today but didn’t have enough mango. I added some fresh peaches to it, still delicious!” Hope that helps.
Absolutely fabulous salad. We had it at the cottage tonight and it was a hit ! Your recipes are the best.Natasha.
Thank you for your great comments and feedback, we’re happy to know that it was a huge hit!
Made this tonight with some rotisserie chicken and frozen mango. I forgot the cilantro (dang it!) It was an excellent summer main course salad, and I loved it! I was quite surprised how much the dressing complimented the salad, as tasting it by itself was just okay. who knew that garlic, mango, and avocado would play so nicely together? Thanks, Natasha!!
You’re welcome, Lauri! I’m so glad you loved this!
I legit did a little happy dance in my chair when I ate this. SO refreshing and delicious! I bet it would be great with mandarins if mangos are not in season as well
It really is that good! Thank you for your wonderful review, Kim!
Nat !! This Chicken Mango Salad is so delish !! I never thought of putting the two together ! Awesome ! One of my new favs for sure . Hi Linda! That’s wonderful. I’m so glad you love them. Thank you for sharing.
I was more impressed by Natasha’s hair and her presentation than the actual salad.
Really Fabulous. I just happened to have all the ingredients in my home! And leftover chicken, so didn’t need to cook. So, I found this recipe by just searching. So good and colorful. Husband and I loved it. I can see some minor adaptations, especially for pescatarians and vegetarians.
Don’t you just love when that happens? I’m so glad you had everything on hand, K!
Thank you for a delicious recipe! This is one that can be modified in so many ways, different nuts, veggies and fruits for equally yummy results, I used pistachios and added grapes. One suggestion I would make is to use 1/2 olive oil and 1/2 canola or other mild oil as the olive oil is quite strong. But that’s just my preference.Again, thanks!!
Hi Kathleen! Thank you for sharing your feedback. So glad you enjoyed this recipe.
Awesome salad! I told my husband we were having chicken mango avocado salad and he was not real excited. He loved it! I did roast my skin on and bone in chicken in the oven. Thank you!

I made this chicken mango avocado salad OMG was it delicious!!! I wish I could add my picture to ahow you cuz it looked so pretty on my plate.
Fantastic! Thank you for trying this recipe. I’m glad it was delicious!
The salad is great but what is the serving size? I can only find the calorie count and stuff.
Hi Alesha, The serving size can be found at the beginning of the print-friendly recipe card (located at the bottom of the recipe post). The nutrition label shows counts “per serving.” Hope that helps!
Love this recipe! I have a question regarding food pairing using this recipe. I’m planning a luncheon where I’d like to serve this salad with a homemade rich chicken noodle soup. Would this salad, minus the chicken go well with the chicken noodle soup? Thank you for your thoughts.
Hi Nancy, because of the sweet flavors mixed into this salad, it probably wouldn’t be my first choice. The avocado chicken salad or cobb salad might work better or even a classic caesar. I have all of those recipes on my blog.
I’ve never reviewed an online recipe before in my life; however, I simply couldn’t not write this. I got sucked in by the 50+ 5 star recipes, only to find this is the most boring salad I have ever eaten in my life. Granted, I’ve never had the salad from Cheesecake Factory so I can’t say how it compares… maybe it’s just as bland there too?
