Mmmm salami sandwich… 🙂 When life gets busy, having a few good sandwich recipes up your sleeve is brilliant! I’m generally not big on cold sandwiches so for me to love a sandwich, it has to be pretty awesome.

This salami sandwich literally takes about 5 minutes to put together but it tastes fancy and is so satisfying. It’s perfect for a work or school lunch since you can make it the night before. The spread is cream cheese based so your sandwich won’t get soggy.

I wound up using some left over brine I’ve had from Dill pickles I’ve long since finished off since I didn’t have just dill and an onion mix (which included garlic and pepper, amongst other seasonings) since it turned out I didn’t have either onions or, even, onion powder but it came out amazingly and I have no doubt it would’ve been likewise if I’d followed the recipe exactly.

All of the ingredients are some of my favorite things and I’m quite glad I stumbled across this recipe; definitely making it many more times in the future.

10 Stars, nothing further needs to be said.

I came across this recipe a number of times and when I seen it yesterday, I actually made this about 1 hour later, and oh my, this is an excellent sandwich. For the salami, I use Haus salami (beef and pork) everything else followed to the letter. Perfect.

This tastes amazing! I personally think that the cream cheese recipe is very versatile, used the exact same recipe and used smoked salmon instead of salami the second time we made this, and it tasted just as great!

I have been making this spread for nearly two years now and have found a few tricks. For the cream cheese, use a container of whipped cream cheese. Not only is it easier to spread, but it also gives you a container to store it in and it lasts longer. Also, if you use ritz crackers, you can turn it into a great snack.

I am so glad to find this recipe for the cream cheese spread instead of mayonnaise. Our mayonnaise is made with soy which I know is not good for us. Now I have a great replacement spread that to me is much more delicious! Thank you!

Hi Rana, I would just omit dill from the recipe. It will still taste great 😀

Love the recipe from reading but I have to try it first. A salami sandwich to me includes spicy brown mustard, I like the twang of spicy goodness from German brown mustard. So, I have to try this first, then possibly add the mustard afterwards if it needs it. I’d say by the comments and ingredients, try it first, then “doctor it” if need be. I also like pepper jack cheese . . . I’ll rate this after I try it. 🙂

One Yummy sandwich, Love that it can stay fresh in the fridge overnight👍🏻

when I’m in a hurry I just put cream cheese spread by itself and the salami lettuce cucumber and it’s ready!

Would love to know if you have anymore sandwiches that can be made the night before (for packing lunch).
