With a new baby, I’m loving this blueberry mango smoothie because it provides a nice jolt of energy without the guilt. The natural sugars in fruit rev up your energy levels quickly without spiking your blood sugar as much as sugary sodas or heavily sweetened coffee would.
Also, the Greek Yogurt makes this a powerhouse of protein to help keep your energy up, and prevent the post sugar crash. Blebidy (nursing talk) bleh. You’ve been schooled ;).
Ingredients for Blueberry Mango Smoothies:
1 cup water
1 cup fat free Greek Yogurt
1 banana
1/2 small lemon, peeled
1 cup frozen mango

* This is the best blender on the market as far as I’m concerned 🙂
P.S. This Mother’s Day, consider starting a new tradition and bring Mom a smoothie in bed. 🙂 To all the Mama’s, soon-to-be Mama’s and hopeful Mamas :), God bless you all and have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
What can be subbed for the banana or can it be left out? I just don’t care for them.
Will try and make this without it and see how it goes!
Thanks for your recipes.
Yvonne
Hi Yvonne, that’s the beauty of smoothies; you can put your favorites in since they’re so versatile! I haven’t tried these, but avocados, coconut cream, or frozen fruit have been notes as substitutions options online. I recommend a google search for ideas.
Do you have the number of carbohydrates that are in that? It looks great I am diabetic and I need to know how carbohydrates are in before I can try it.
Hello Fran! We are working on adding nutrition labels and metric measurements on all of our recipes. It’s a slow process since it is one recipe at a time. Until all of the recipes are updated, check out this nutrition analyzer: https://www.verywell.com/recipe-nutrition-analyzer-4129594. You can plug in the ingredients from any recipe, select the serving size and it will give you nutritional info, calories, etc. I hope that is helpful to you!
I’ve never thought to add some lemon before to my smoothies, and I’ve never tried the combo of blueberry with mango either. Thanks for this recipe this looks super tasty!

I hope you love it! 🙂
Hi can we use something other than mangoes , and what other fruit would you suggest?
Hi Renee, pineapple might work well.
From now on, I’m going to assume that if a recipe looks good and it comes from your website, it will be good enough to make more than once. I knew one of the smoothies I have made 3 times now came from you. You’re awesome! Please, keep it up. I am now a fan.
I’m happy to hear you love my recipes! Thanks for sharing 😀
Combination of smoothie is great. Lemon gives such a different taste to a smoothie, but for next time I will definitely use a less lemon.
I have made this smoothie countless times. It’s my favorite of all. I like to make it on the go. Also so happy trader joes has frozen fruits all year round for affordable cost. I make smoothies daily now.
It is so nice to have the frozen fruit option! I wish Trader Joes was a little closer to home but I think I’m just spoiled and don’t want to drive 25 minutes downtown 😉
Hi, I am from Honduras and I am always in the search of new recipe that includes mango because this fruit grows naturally in my country. I just made this smoothie recipe and I absolutly loved it! Thank you!
That’s wonderful! I wish we had mangos growing in Idaho but our climate isn’t right for them. I’m just thankful for grocery stores 😉
We loved this smoothie, but I had to add more liquid, for some reason my blendtec had hard time mixing it. And even after adding some more water I still had junks of mango and blueberries in my daughters cup.
We purchased the blendtec about 2 weeks ago, and most likely will be returning it. Don’t see a big difference between my $50 one, but your smoothie recipe is a winner. Planning to make some more today since I got some more plain Greek yogurt! 🙂
Hi Inna! I’m so glad you liked the smoothie! I’m surprised to hear there were still chunks of fruit after being in the blendtec – it usually makes everything very nice and creamy. I’m curious, what kind of blender did you have before?
Lol I still have it, it’s from Costco. I purchased it 4 years ago. It was around $50. It defiantly takes longer to make the smoothie and it’s not as powerful and it’s pretty loud too, but at least I didn’t feel bad it was only $50, not $350. Today I made an eggplant spread and love it. The other day I used it to purée the onions for katleti and it’s amazing (Didn’t have to scrape it down 5 times like in the other blender). Just upset with smoothies. It shouldn’t be like that. I wonder if I should contact blendtec and see what their suggestion would be.
That is u usual about the smoothies. I also love that it’s useful for other things too. Have you tried making deruny in it?
Where are you shopping that it costs you $6 per smoothie to make this? That’s what Jamba Juice charge and I’m pretty sure their buying power is a little stronger than yours
Costco! Keep in mind that it’s on a per recipe basis so I don’t count an entire huge bag of frozen blueberries or frozen mango or the entire tub of Greek yogurt that I buy to make this. Also, Jamba juice tastes good but they do add alot of juice and even ice cream which really diminishes the healthy aspect of their smoothies.
This looks delish Natasha! I pretty much live off of fruit smoothies for my weekday breakfast, so new inspiration is always welcome. Love that gorgeous pour shot as well. It’s so well lit and styled!
Thank you so much love! That is quite a compliment coming from you. We love smoothies at our house too, and often replace breakfast with a smoothie. It’s a great way to start the day!
LOVE this combination of blueberry and mango – I’m so addicted to mango right now, I’m going to have to make this!
Thanks Annie! I hope you LOVE it! 🙂
Now that looks Delicious. Wish I could order it to go 🙂 malodets natasha 🙂
🙂 Thank you lily. I guess I need to build a drive thru window onto my house 😉
I’ve never tried this combination – mango and blueberries, it sounds delicious though! Definitely will try it soon when mangos will be in season around here 🙂
Shiran, where are you writing from? I wish we had the climate for mangos in Idaho :).
I might be willing to give up chocolate for this one!
Maybe we can figure out a way to add chocolate to the recipe :D. I too a major chocolate fan.
This smoothie looks delicious! So much goodness in one glass. I love all your videos too Natasha – you are a natural in front of the camera. So good to see you’ve found your calling! Love your blog.
Thank you so much Jessica :). You’re so sweet! I feel a little rusty from being away from the camera for 3 months, but we really do enjoy filming 🙂
This looks healthy and delicious! I love that you’d chose to use Greek yogurt than the regular ones. It looks really refreshing and the sugar is all natural.
Thank you Maureen! yes, the Greek yogurt definitely adds some great protein. 🙂
This smoothie sounds amazing! And your photos of it are gorgeous!
Thank you so much Shelby 🙂
I enjoy reading your posts.
Can’t help but say though, fruit does not cause sugar crashes… unless you are not eating a lot of real whole foods, in that case it’s not the fruit that’s to blame, but the overall diet which is too high in fat. And Greek yogurt differs from the “usual” yogurt in that it’s made with a blend of cream and milk. This leads it to have a particularly high level of milk fat — around 10%, rather than the typical 0.1% to 3%. And if you choose “Greek” yogurt that is low in fat, usually what happens is thickeners and other unnecessary and possibly harmful ingredients are added to create the thickness naturally created by the cream in real Greek yogurt. The combination of blueberries and mango is absolute delicious though but I make mine with water, sometimes bananas and spinach for a boost of vitamin K. God bless your growing family!
Thank you so much for sharing that info! I absolutely agree, fruit does not cause sugar crashes.
This smoothie looks gorgeous and I love that it uses frozen mango & blueberries. My daughter is just starting her exams and this will be perfect with breakfast, to give her sustained energy – plus she loves fruit! Thank you will get my blender out! Sammie http://www.feastingisfun.com
This would make a perfect study treat! Thanks Sammie 🙂
Natural sugars are the way to go! They totally give you energy without the crash, who needs that? They are perfect for anyone of any age. I always get a little peppier with a little natural sugar.
Yes!! I agree and who doesn’t need a little extra pep? 😉
Natasha, as always, Thank you!
Your recipes easily become favorite ones!
Awww thank you so much Julia. 🙂 You’re so sweet 🙂
