Our Best Dutch Oven Recipes
Dutch ovens have been around FOR-EVER! The dutch oven is such a versatile tool in the kitchen. It makes everything taste better because they have a heavy bottom for even heat conduction and they have heavy lids that seal in moisture and flavor. This pot is most useful for dutch oven recipes that need to go from the stove to the oven, reducing what we call the “dish factor” (less dishes!). They also retain heat really well and are lovely for serving.
Our dutch oven recipes are among some of the top recipes on our site. BREAD, MAKES THE VERY BEST BREAD!!!
Oh dear! I didn’t read the last rule about being in the US. I am from India. But I have my Sis-in-law in Seattle. Can I enter and give her address? If at all I win, she can receive it and give it to me later.
Hi S, that could work if you can provide a US address.
Thank you.
Regards,
Supriya
You’re welcome!

Lamb and Bulgur Stew with White Beans
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)
1/2 pound ground lamb
2/3 cup bulgur
3/4 teaspoon red-pepper flakes
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
2 teaspoons sweet paprika
1 can (28 ounces) diced plum tomatoes
2 cups water
1 can (14.5 ounces)cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
5 ounces baby spinach (about 5 cups)
3 1/2 ounces feta cheese (about 2/3 cup), plus more for garnish
1 tablespoon fresh oregano leaves, plus more for garnish
DIRECTIONS
1.
Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion, lamb, bulgur, red-pepper flakes, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Cook, stirring to break up lamb, until lamb is cooked, about 5 minutes. Add paprika; stir until fragrant and toasted, 30 seconds. Add tomatoes and water, bring to a simmer, and cover. Lower heat; gently simmer, stirring occasionally, until bulgur is tender, about 25 minutes.
2.
Stir in beans, spinach, feta, and oregano; cook until feta is almost melted and beans are warmed through, about 2 minutes. Garnish with feta and oregano.
My favorite recipe for a Dutch oven is pot roast with potatoes, carrots and onions. Everyone loves it.
I have a large Le Creuset skillet that I received as a gift about 35 years ago. I just love it, to cook in, but also to serve in. It’s almost as pretty as when I received it. I would love a set, love, love, love!
Ive learned to make artisan no knead bread in my old dutch oven. It’s so easy. Just need to get starter going the day before. I’m switching out all my bakeware for sturdier high quality. Thanks
Love to make bread!
I’ve made so many of your recipes and have never been disappointed. Your blog is the first I visit when needing inspiration for any meal.
I would love to make my beef stew with wine in this Dutch oven! The idea of making bread really intrigues me, have to try that too. Thanks!

Is there any way to convince your sponsors that people in other countries deserve a chance to enter their contests. I live in Canada and Le Creuset is sold here and I have a frying pan. They make excellent products. This is a company based in France not the USA.
