Springtime is the perfect time for Kitchen Organization. De-cluttering and organizing your kitchen will make your cooking and life more efficient.
Enjoy this collection of our kitchen organization posts. I hope these inspire you and provide practical tips to de-clutter and organize your kitchen, pantry, refrigerator, and even your spice drawer (watch the spice drawer before and after video).

Where to Start?
The kitchen is probably the most important part of a home – it’s the most used and most useful space, but it’s also a place where people gather so you’ll want it to look presentable. Tackling kitchen organization can also be really daunting so we’re breaking this post into 3 parts:
- Kitchen (includes spice drawer)
- Pantry
- Refrigerator
Pick a space and give yourself time. Unless you can hire a professional team to come in and get it done in a day, it will take a week or even weeks and that’s ok. Take it one drawer at a time.
For inspiration, you can check out our videos below as well as create a Pinterest board of ideas or get yourself a book on organizing if you want (one with plenty of photos).

How to Organize Your Kitchen (step-by-step)
Every kitchen is different but here is a roadmap to getting organized. You can apply this to Kitchen, Pantry, and Refrigerator organization.
- Mark off cabinets and drawers with sticky notes to determine what goes where then work on one drawer at a time.
- Take everything out – empty the drawer or cabinet.
- Group things together – whisks together, spatulas together, etc.
- Get rid of things you don’t use – have a bag ready for donations or a garage sale. Things you hardly use but can’t part with, consider storing them in a different location so they aren’t taking up valuable space in your kitchen.
- Shopping – measure your space and buy drawer organizers, dividers, bins, containers, etc to maximize your space. You can find organizing tools at a container store, Spice it Your Way, Ikea or shop on Amazon.

Kitchen Organization Ideas
Watch our Kitchen Video Tour where I opened up drawers and cabinets so you can take a peek into how we organize our dream kitchen. We hired a pro to organize and now have it running like a well-oiled machine.
Our most recent organization project was our kitchen drawer which was inspired by Spice it Your Way, a small business owner who makes these beautiful spice jars and many other organizational containers. P.S. use code NATASHA10 to get 10% off your order. My spice drawer used to be a mess and now it’s gorgeous and so functional. I love that I can insert any measuring spoon into these jars, online the smallmouth spice jars I had previously. Watch the video and see the before and after.

Pantry Organization Ideas
Watch our Pantry Tour Video and see how we labeled and organized our pantry. You can apply these principles for any sized pantry, whether it’s a walk-in pantry or a modest closet-style pantry.

Refrigerator Organization Ideas
See our Refrigerator and Freezer Tour which includes tips for food storage that will keep your foods fresher for longer. The same step-by-step process applies to the refrigerator. Start by emptying the fridge and when you are getting rid of things, pay attention to expiration dates and discard anything that is expired.

Kitchen Organization definitely eliminates unnecessary stress and frustration when everything has its place and you know which drawer to open for everything from spices, to cooking tools, cookware, and even kitchen towels.
Getting the kids to put tools in the right spot once they come out of the dishwasher is a whole separate issue, but we’re training them up.
where can I purchase a “wix” jar you mention in your sour dough starter video. Am I hearing you right? Tried to find one on line. no luck!
Hi Elizabeth! It’s a weck jar and I linked it in the blog post. Click on the red font words throughout the post, they are links.
You can also select “shop” from the menu at
the top of the page and I have it linked in my amazon affiliate shop too.
Natasha, thank you for your kitchen organization tips! I love your parent’s kitchen, too!
You’re very welcome!
I would like to know where you got the cabinet that your spice’s go in please
Hi Jane, we use a spice drawer insert (affiliate link) to keep them from rolling.
Hi Natasha! Just wondering how you like your spice jars? I am planning out my spice drawer and can’t decide if I want to go with round jars or with rectangle shape. I heard that the round ones “roll around” a bit when opening and closing the drawer. Just wondering if you had any advice. I LOVE the look of the round ones with the bamboo lids💕
Hi Colleen. I love my spice jars! You can use a spice drawer insert to keep them from rolling.
Sorry do not see the size of the spice jars.2.5 or 4oz…pretty sure they are not the 6oz size…Thanks!
Yes, they are 4oz. I purchased them from Spice It Your Way, click HERE.
It looks amazing. Can you please share the small storage bags you use for freezing your herbs. Thanks
Hi Angie, are you referring to these? https://amzn.to/3qEhPoP
can you link the white organizer that the spice jars sit on, please
Hi Ampy, here is the link for the spice drawer insert. It was very handy!
Hello Natasha,
Absolutely love your new kitchen. I’m in the process of remodeling my kitchen. I am going to purchase a 48″ freestanding range. I see you have a Thermador dual fuel. I’m trying to decide on a dual fuel or all gas. Suggestions?
Hi Kim, I love dual fuel because a gas cooktop is my favorite while an electric oven seems to be the most reliable in terms of maintaining the right temperature.
Hi Natashas! Love your spice drawer makeover. What did you use to hold the spices up in the drawer, it looks tiered.
Hi CR, Thank you! Here is the spice drawer insert that we used from Amazon (affiliate link).
I love the spice bottles! Which angled spice holders do you have in your drawers?
Hi Sheri, here are the spice drawer inserts that we used (Amazon affiliate link)
Love everything about this post!! Love how easy you can see all your spices! Organization makes me so happy!
Hey there, Natasha! I’m one of the first people to always see your content on both your website and channel. I know I’ve asked this before In your omelet video, but I was wondering if you can please make taco shells out of pantry staple ingredients? Thanks!
Hi and thank you for the suggestion. I will add that to my list. Also, I’m so glad you like our content and follow on different channels. It means so much to me.
Wow, very great idea for my new kitchen. Will definitely do this for this weekend
It’s like a dream spice drawer. I’m glad it inspired you.
I totally agree that having an organized kitchen goes a long way in alleviating stress. Thanks for the tips.
Oh. my. goodness! Those spice jars are the cutest things I have ever seen. Thanks for the inspo!
I think so too – so pretty and cute. I’m glad this inspired you. Thank you!
They are very cute and keep spices fresh, but how’d you figure out the expiration date for each?
Hi Majida, we use a marker and label the bottom of each jar with the expiration date 🙂
Hi Natasha! I’m always first to see your videos as I’ve subscribed to your website! I know I’ve asked this before In your previous video, but is it possible for you to come up with a taco shell recipe!? It would be very highly appreciated! Thank you, and I love your recipes so much!
Hi SS, Thank you so much for that suggestion, I have it added to my long list of things we want to some day try 🙂
