Sparkling Cranberry Pineapple Punch
Cranberry Pineapple Punch is crisp, refreshing, and super enjoyable. It’s also very pretty, which is important when you want to jazz things up for the holidays. The cranberries in this holiday punch absolutely sparkle next to the fresh lime.
Oh and one more thing: this Christmas punch is totally easy; like add and stir.

This Sparkling Cranberry Pineapple Punch was made possible by the one and only Dole. Their pineapple juice is known on the street as the “King of Juices™.” It’s kind of like going to Hawaii and squeezing the juice out of a fresh ripe pineapple (minus the traveling and the squeezing). That’s the secret ingredient here: 100% DOLE® Canned Pineapple Juice!
This fizzy holiday punch has just the right amount of sweetness and is loved by grown ups and littles (my son’s favorite “soda”) so it’s perfect for any party. It works because lime goes well with cranberries and ginger goes well with pineapple but so do cranberries and lime – I might have done a little research in The Flavor Bible – cool tool by the way.
It’s so crisp and refreshing as a holiday punch! You’ll want to go ahead and make a double batch ;).
Ingredients for Christmas Cranberry Pineapple Punch:
Chilled ingredients work best to keep your punch cold and extra fizzy.
We used Dole Canned pineapple juice, Cranberry Juice Cocktail (any brand is ok) and Ginger Ale.
Fresh or frozen cranberries work well and the lime adds a great pop of color and compliments the cranberry very well. Cranberries keep well in the freezer for like a year #ForReals. I buy them during the holidays when they are on sale and freeze (because they disappear from stores soon after).
How to Make this Cranberry Pineapple Punch:
1. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, stir together: 3 cups pineapple juice, 3 cups cranberry juice and 4 cups ginger ale.
2. Add ice, sliced lime, and cranberries. Stir gently to combine and serve to your favorite people.
3. Yeah, there is no step 3. I told you it was easy!
I told you it was easy!! You’ll have to discover for yourself just how good this is!

I hope this punch makes your holidays more merry and bright! If you make it for your next party let me know :).
I’m not a fan of ginger ale, but I love ginger beer so I’ll be using that. But otherwise this sounds so good!
(If you like a good strong ginger flavor, Cock & Bulls ginger beer is the best I’ve found.)
I hope you love the recipe, Dawn!
Excellent, with light pineapple juice and diet ginger ale.
I love your recipes and lighthearted style, Natasha.
Keep up the great variety of super recipes. Thank you
Thank you so much, Marilou! 🙂
I made this for a work holiday party – everyone LOVED it! We were all joking that it was spiked because it was so good. The whole thing went, and multiple people asked for the recipe!
That’s wonderful, Christine! So glad it was a hit. Thank you for sharing.
Hello! Looks delicious! Could I sub orange juice for the pineapple juice?
Jainy, feel free to omit and substitute those ingredients, the punch should still taste great. Let me know what you end up doing.
Very good punch! Not terribly sweet like party punches can be, and the pineapple flavor was a nice surprise (according to our guests). Used 100% cranberry juice instead of the “cocktail” and added 1/4 cup of simple syrup to adjust for sweetness, the rest of the recipe remained the same. Our guests enjoyed it very much, and it looked lovely with the red cranberries and green lime slices floating in the clear glass pitcher. Offered white rum on the side for those who wanted to spike it a little… or a lot!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Victoria! Thank you so much for sharing that with me.
Used natural, no added sugar cranberry and pineapple juice plus non-diet ginger ale. It was tart and almost cloudy. Emphasize sweet cranberry and pineapple.
Hi Pat, I suspect it was due to substitutions – I haven’t had that experience – it could be the product you used.
Can I use a Sherbet in it? If so, what would be the best flavor?
Thank you!
Hi Peggy, I imagine that should work! Have you tried my Raspberry Sherbet Party Punch?
Hello! I was wondering, if I use Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale, would I still use the same amount of Pineapple juice?
Hi Kimmy, I haven’t tested that so I’m not sure. I would suggest just adding it to taste.
This is a really good punch have been making it for years. I try cutting corners and used Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale and just didn’t work with my friends and family. but this recipe is my go-to punch.
I’m so glad this was a hit!
Can’t wait to try making this for a Bachelorette! Can alcohol be added to this recipe? If so, what kind would you recommend?
Hi Sarah! I hope you love this recipe! I haven’t tried adding alcohol but one of my readers wrote in with the following: “Some of the adults added Limoncello (alcohol) to their glasses.” I hope this helps!
How far ahead can you make this? Also Would the cranberries not taste bitter if you eat them in the drink?
hi there, I would add Ginger Ale right before serving and the rest can be prepared a day before. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for few days but the drink won’t be fizzy anymore. Hope this help 😀
Hello Natasha i tried it without the cranberry on top and it was so goood i used mountain dew instead of ginger ale too i still so good i’m having a cocktail party i hope my guests like it!
Hi Navia, thank you for sharing your good comments with us. Great to know that you loved this recipe!
Wouldn’t the ice dilute the drink?
It won’t if it will be added last before serving.
I usually make ice (or an ice ring like my mom made) from cranberry & pineapple juice mixed together.
That way the punch does not get diluted.
Can you make this into a adult cocktail like using rum ?
Hi Lisa, that may work! I haven’t tested that but if you experiment I would love to know how you like that.
I think it would be good with vodka🥂
My mother usually added vodka.
LOVE this. Thank you. 💞🌲🌲🎁🎁
You are most welcome, Carole!
Hi there. I am wanting to make this punch for 100 people. Any idea how many batches I need to make??? Or how many servings a single batch would accommodate?
Hi Joanne, this recipe makes ten cups (servings) If you are looking for a cup for each then you would need ten times the recipe. I hope that helps.
Thank you so much I love your recipes they all came out so good merry Christmas and happy new year
That’s just awesome! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you also!
Natasha, I just wanted to wish you a Very Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for all of your wonderful cooking shows and the tour of your kitchen what a dream kitchen for sure.Cheryl
Thank you so much Cheryl and a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving to you also!
I just love your recipes! Happy Thanksgiving!
You’re so nice! Thank you!
That actually looks delicious and I need one dish recipes like this so badly, with my energy levels. Thank you!!
You’re so welcome, Alisha! Thank you for the great review!
I have been drinking this punch since the 1960s.
This was my mother’s ‘go-to’ punch.
It also is great with vodka added for those who would like.
Thank you for sharing this with us, Paula!
How much vodka do you put in it?
We usually just do it by the glass – since we have kids & non-drinkers.
How much vodka did you add to the recipe?
Vodka is usually added by the glass since there are kids at the family gatherings.
When no kids are present it depends on how much we make, but 1 jigger (1-1/2 ounce) for every 8 ounces of punch.
I have always used vodka, but have been told it would be good with rum.
Oooh, how much vodka do you add for the whole recipe?
Hi Natasha,
I made your punch recipe for Christmas. It was a big hit, plus very delicious with flavored vodka!!
I’m so happy you enjoyed that, Sue! Thank you for that amazing feedback!
Wondering what type of ginger ale everyone is using? We’re in Michigan so Vernor’s brand is very popular, however I’ve heard it’s a very different taste compared to others. Is anyone using it or something like Canada Dry?
HI Candi, we make this Christmas punch with Canada Dry brand ginger ale.
Has anyone ever made this with the diet cranberry and diet ginger ale? I have a lot of friends on low carb diets or don’t like to drink all the sugar. Curious if it would still be good or if I should just make the regular version.
Hi Andrea, I have not tested that but I bet it would still work. If you experiment, let me know how you liked the recipe.
has anyone made with Ginger Beer?
Love your recipes! Where did you get that pitcher for the punch?
Sherry
Hi Sherry, I believe it is from JC Penny. It doesn’t have a brand on it but it looks very similar to this pitcher on Amazon.
How do you keep it cold?
We keep all of the ingredients chilled in the refrigerator until we are ready to make this, that makes it really cold to start with. If needed we add ice cubes to it.
I froze the pineapple juice in a round fluted ring Tupperware mold. It kept the punch cold without diluting it with ice. Plus it made a pretty ring in the punch bowl along with the cranberries and lime slices.
LOVE this idea!!! Been wondering what to do with mine!
Hi Natasha, congrats on making the Forbes list. Well deserved!!! I’ve been a huge fan of your blog. Every recipe I’ve made turned out amazing and even my picky kids love the food. I have a question about this recipe. Can I add alcohol to this and if so, what kind? Also, can you recommend some recipes to use for a bridal shower?
Thanks again for your hard work and creativity.
Hi Galina! Thank you thank you!! 🙂 We are so excited about that and truly thankful. I’m so glad your family and kids love our recipes. That makes me so happy. 🙂 I haven’t tried adding alcohol but one of my readers wrote in with the following: “Some of the adults added Limoncello (alcohol) to their glasses.”
You do know that there is no such thing as GMO pineapple, right?
Ha ha! I didn’t realize but that makes sense! I guess it makes people feel better to write that on the can ;).
Made this for our annual Canadian Pacific Holiday Train party and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone wanted the recipe. Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to make again! 🙂
Hi Jenny, thank you for the wonderful review and you are very welcome 😬.
I made this for our annual solstice party last week – thank goodness I tripled the amount as it was a huge hit with children and adults! I mixed up everything but the ginger ale the morning of the party (in a big stock pot), and added the ginger ale right before I put it in the drink dispenser.
Some of the adults added Limoncello (alcohol) to their glasses.
I’m so glad you all loved it! I’m all smiles reading your comment! Have a Merry Christmas 🙂
did you mean possible to add rum OR vodka? Someone stated adding rum AND vodka….it may work , I just want to clarify before adding both.
Hi Beth, we always serve it virgin since we don’t drink alcohol, so my opinion would only be a terrible guess.
Has anyone else tried? Let us know and thanks in advance! 🙂
We had this for brunch today and everyone loved it. I had proseco on hand for those who wanted to add it to the punch and it was very, very good.
Thanks for this recipe! We love it!
My pleasure Kay! I’m happy to hear that!
it is really nyc, saw something new, love from India.
Thanks for following!
Have you ever spiked this punch? If so with what and how much?
Hi David, I don’t drink alcohol so I haven’t experimented but one of my readers, Martha, writes: “You can make this a great crispy night drink by adding a little vodka and rum.
Yummy”
We added it to champagne and made punch mimosas, it was delicious!!
Did you sub the champagne for the ginger Ale? Or did you use both?
This looks great! Can you add wine to this and make it an adult beverage?
Hi Holly, I haven’t experimented that way since we don’t drink alcohol. If you experiment, let me know how you like it! 🙂
Fantastic! We are enjoying it right now on New Years Eve. Everyone loves it.
So happy you enjoy it Mary!!
Hi I am wanting to make this for christmas lunch and wondered if i could put the cranberry and pineapple together in a freezer bags and then take them out a bit before making and then add the gingerale to make it a slushy punch?
I have not tried it that way but it sounds like it could work. Let me know how it turns out!
Can I omit the Limes and cranberries, or c an I sub lemon for limes or oranges for that matter
Letha, feel free to omit and substitute those ingredients, punch should still taste great. Let me know what you end up doing.
There is o such thing as a GMO pineapple (unless it’s pink – apparently that’s a thing). But labelling plain old pineapple or pineapple juice GMO free is a marketing ploy……
*no such thing. lol
Wow I’ve never heard of pink pineapple, but I’d probably steer clear of that! 😉
What a easy & fun festive idea. I am going to make this for Christmas Eve. Can’t wait! Thanks!!
It’s my most popular beverage to date, ENJOY!
Hi I want to make this for a Christmas lunch I will be hosting. Unfortunately I can’t find the cranberries and although they are just garnish wonder if I can use something else. Maybe some raspberries?
Hi Angela, yes I do think raspberries would be very pretty over the top. If it helps, you can use fresh or frozen cranberries.
Do you know roughly how many servings this recipe makes? I need to make enough for 20 people. 0_0
Hi Stefani, this makes 10 cups of punch so if you think each person will want more than 1 cup, you might consider getting triple the ingredients. I would make a double batch and have ingredients for a third batch to mix and use if needed 🙂
I’m going to be making this for my guests this weekend, and was wondering how far in advance you can mix it all together? Also, how long will the leftovers keep being stored in the refrigerator?
Jess, I would add Ginger Ale right before serving and the rest can be prepared a day before. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for few days but the drink won’t be fizzy anymore. Hope this help 😀
What would be a good substitute for the cranberry juice? Can’t use it due to medications.
Galaxy, I would use fruit punch or berry juice might work.
Hi,
Sounds delicious! Do you think I could replace the ginger ale with a sparkling cran-apple juice? Thanks!
Hi Melissa, I haven’t tried that substitution but I think it would work. The reason I chose ginger ale is because ginger works great with the other flavors. Let me know how you like it if you try that substitution! 🙂
Wow – thanks for this recipe. Making it for Christmas Day brunch. Non-drinkers here, too, so I’m always looking for delicious non-alcoholic punches.
Oh awesome!! I hope you love it! 🙂 I always thought the non-alcoholic drinks tasted best and this one is so refreshing 🙂
Just wanted you to know that I used this recipe over on my blog today, looks so delish! I linked it back to you here, thanks for such a great post!
https://ourawkwardlife.com/2016/12/01/holiday-sips/
Thank you so much for sharing!
Malibu rum would be great to add to it since it always goes well with pineapple juice.
That is a fantastic idea. Coconut and pineapple – heaven!
This sounds delicious! It’s now on the menu. My question is about the cranberries. Are they just for looks or are you supposed to eat them raw?
Hi Pam, the cranberries and lime slices are intended to be garnish 🙂
Thanks. Trying this for Thanksgiving 2016. I was wondering about the cranberries. …
You can make this a great crispy night drink by adding a little vodka and rum.
Yummy
Martha, thank you for sharing your version 😁. I’ve had several questions about making this recipe an adult drink.
What would be a good alcohol to add to this?
Hi Yvette, to be honest, I haven’t experimented that with this recipe and we don’t drink alcohol (just cook with it so maybe I’m not the best person to ask). 🙂
What brand of cranberry juice did you use, Natasha?
Halina, I used Ocean Spray brand.
Thank you for this recipie
You’re very welcome 🙂
Thank you Natasha for such a yummy and easy recipe. I made it on Christmas. Everyone loved it. Yummy.
Thank you so much for an awesome review! 🙂
Made this for Christmas and the whole family really liked it. The family requested this for all future holiday togethers. Easy and tasty. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for such a nice review 😀. Now I know what to make for tomorrow’s drink during lunch.
Do you think lemon could winks instead of lime? Thank you in advance for your response. Merry Christmas
Lime and cranberry are a better flavor combination than lemon. If you can get a lime, you should use it 🙂
I like everything about this! YUM!
Looks yummy. Can’t wait to make it for our Christmas Eve family get together. Thank you.
p.s. What a beautiful picture of you and your precious baby!!
That sounds like a sweet tradition you have! I hope you all enjoy it and thank you! 🙂
Can you add alcohol to this for an adult drink?
I haven’t tried it so I’m not sure how the flavors would meld and different alcohols would taste different. If you experiment, let me know how it goes 🙂
Just give people the option of adding a shot of vodka to their glass before adding the punch, so that way everyone can still enjoy the yummy non-alcoholic punch. 😀
I’ll be trying it for our Christmas Day. I don’t drink anymore, so I’ll put it out there for people to BYO voddy 😉
Hi Natasha, just discovered your blog and it’s really fantastic!
So many great recipes!
PS: my father is Ukrainian, so it’s nice to meet a sister online!
That’s awesome! Welcome to my blog 🙂
I LOVE pineapple juice!! I can’t wait to make this refreshing drink!!! 🙂
Same here :). Thanks LaTrice! I hope you really enjoy it 🙂
Natasha, your punch looks fantastic! And the last photo where you are pouring Ginger Ale just made me so thirsty! Yum!
Yes! That means I accomplished my goal :). Those pour shots aren’t as carefree as they look. I should post a behind the scenes shot, except we’d need a third person since I take the shot and my husband is pouring 😉
Haha! I use my husband on some of my action shoots too! I hope you’ll find some time for the “behind the scenes” post. I will be waiting! 🙂
I think my husband would love this! He LOVES pineapple (like he orders it on every pizza he gets) and he loves cranberry ginger ale… so I think this combination may work haha. I will have to try it. Looks very refreshing!!
Pineapple fans would definitely enjoy this! Thanks Natasha (it’s always weird to call someone else by the same name isn’t it?) 😉
I know hahaha. Actually, funny story. I had considered naming my blog “Natasha’s Kitchen” a couple of years ago when I first thought I should start a food blog (took me a lot longer to actually jump in but that’s another story). When I did a search to see if the name was taken, I found your blog, and I’ve been stopping by (usually just lurking) ever since 🙂
Lurking, lol. Even when I was starting 6 years ago, it was not easy to pick a name that hadn’t been taken :).
Natasha, this looks so delicious and refreshing, love all those gorgeous cranberries! 😀
Thank you so much Roxana. I love cranberries on everything this time of year. They almost sparkle 🙂
