Many Thanks go to Ilona who commented on my Olivye recipe and let me know about this food chopper. It’s called the Vidalia Chop Wizard. It’s so awesome for all kinds of salads. It makes Olivye and the broccoli apple salad a breeze!! Make sure you buy the one with two chopping sizes (see picture). It’s $20 at Bed,Bath and Beyond. So take in your 20% off coupon and get it for $16!! I’ve used it for: potatoes, pickles, broccoli, apples, onion, tomatoes and bologna.  Thanks again Ilona!!!

I have this item and LOVE it!!! I have to say that I picked it up at a flea market in Florida and I live in Indiana, I have to say that I love this products so much that my daughter broke my bottom part of it that I thought I was going to cry, but I was able to replace it. I make salsa just about every weekend and this item is an excellent product, I am done in a couple of minutes with no onion smell or jalapeño spiciness on my fingers. again GREAT PRODUCT!!! I give it a 10+ rating wise. Reply

I LOVE having that little helper around me =) when I used to be not married, my younger siblings 14 years brother,11year old sister and 12 year old brother they would always be in charge of making olivee and crab salad because they always used the food chopper =). It’s easy, quick tool for everyone any age =) Reply

Does this chopper cut into matchsticks? I have a mandoline with several attachments, but I’ve been looking for something that can cut carrots or jicama into matchsticks. Reply

Well, I like chopping better. Nothing is better then good chef knife (Whusthof in my case). I do also have the same toy but I use it rarely. Reply

I agree, nothing is better than a good chef knife. I liked mine so much, I bought a second one. I use Henckels Twin four star, but some things aren’t worth chopping when theres tons of it to chop (i.e. brocolli) I also like the perfect cubes this puts out. Our food chopper gets some heavy use. Reply

You can always claim that you are going to use the fine chopper to make baby food. Hey, that really is a good idea!!! Cook up some carrots or sweet potatoes and voila!! Reply

I am so glad you bought it Natasha… It’s a great tool to have around the house, especially for those who make olivie and crab salad. Reply

The hard work of dicing is all part of the reward when you finally get to eat the salad!

Ridiculous though. This looks like such a handy tool. Onions are the worst to cut. Reply

My mother-in-law has one of these and I got to use it to chop onions at Christamas–so much easier than dicing them with a knife! I didn’t know they were made any more b/c she said she got hers a long time ago. Thanks for letting us know! Reply
