As we have cooked our way through another year, I love to look back and see which recipes were the favorites. This past year marked our blog’s 15th anniversary, and it sure has been a delicious year of cooking and baking.
I now have around 1300 recipes on the blog and shared plenty of new recipes this year. These were the Top 20 most loved Recipes of 2024.
I dove into our Google analytics and reviewed the recipes you were saving to your recipe boxes, along with which recipes were the most popular on Instagram, Facebook, and of course, YouTube, to come up with this list.
It’s always interesting to see the trends for the year, and there was one new trend that got me excited! I also included a handful of recipes that have consistently been favorites for many years, such as few of these have been on the list for several years in a row (hello Fish Tacos and Banana Bread).
Surprising Trends from 2024
It was fun to spot trends in the recipes you all loved the most which helps to guide us in what to post next. Here’s what all of these recipes seem to have in common:
Comfort Foods – Home-cooked comfort food was the theme of 2024 – going back to the basics and classic recipes that nourish our body and soul.
Easy Dinners – you all are loving the one-pot, 30-minute meals and casserole recipes. I even started a new category for Casseroles!
Sourdough everything – I’m so happy that you love the sourdough recipes! I love all of the requests for making sourdough versions of everything. Keep those suggestions coming! Sourdough is a healthier way to bake and cook, and I have been obsessed with it. It’s been taking off ever since I published How to make Sourdough Starter.
And now, I present the most popular recipes of 2024. Whether you’re new here, or just want some fresh dinner inspiration, these recipes are a sure thing!
Honey Garlic Chicken is an easy, 20-minute, 5-ingredient stir fry. The sticky honey sauce coats every morsel of chicken without extra breading. Serve this over a bed of white rice and some veggies for an easy dinner everyone will love.
A crispy twist on potato salad, with crisp vegetables and fresh herbs, combined with an irresistible two-ingredient dressing. This light and satisfying dish will win you over with every bite.
Whether you’re new to sourdough or an experienced baker, our sourdough bread recipe is the perfect go-to recipe to make an amazing artisan loaf. You’ll love the beauty of this crusty and chewy bread, and the timing is flexible to work into your schedule. After the bulk ferment for just 4 hours, you will cold proof in the refrigerator for 8-48 hours then bake when you're ready. It’s also easy to double the recipe to make two loaves.
American Goulash Recipe
This hearty one-pot meal is a saucy and beefy classic American Goulash. It's a great way to stretch a pound of ground beef for a crowd and is easy to make (and clean up after), cooks in one pot including the pasta, and reheats well so it's perfect for meal prep.
This is the only Sourdough Pizza Dough Recipe you’ll ever need. We’ve tested and perfected this recipe to make the best crispy and chewy crust for the most delicious homemade sourdough pizza, calzones, and stromboli. It also keeps well in the refrigerator and freezer. To make this process easier and more precise, weigh your ingredients into the bowl over a kitchen scale.
This Blueberry Bread has a moist and tender crumb and is loaded with juicy, sweet, blueberries and lemon zest and pummeled with an irresistible lemon glaze. It is perfect for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or even dessert.
Stuffed Manicotti is a delicious Italian-American baked pasta dish with three melty cheeses, tube-like pasta, and marinara sauce cooked to perfection. It comes together quickly, so it’s great for a weeknight meal, but also fancy enough for a holiday party. Our family-friendly manicotti recipe is easy to assemble and is perfect to make ahead or share with a neighbor. We know this will quickly become your go-to recipe.
These homemade Sourdough Discard Crackers need just 3 ingredients: sourdough discard, butter, and salt. No prep, refrigeration, or rolling. Crispy, perfect for dipping!
This Baked Mac and Cheese recipe is one of our favorite comfort foods to share with others since it’s a crowd-pleaser and it reheats really well. It's also from my Natasha's Kitchen cookbook! We’ve swapped the traditional dry breadcrumb topping for a cheesy layer that the kids prefer. The cheese crust keeps the pasta moist and gooey.

I’ve never been more excited and optimistic about sharing recipes with you and connecting with you both on our blog and on all of our social platforms. The landscape of the internet is changing as we face the threat of AI-generated content (and it’s getting harder to spot what is human and what is not); I’ll always be happy to report that what you get here is developed and tested by myself and approved by my husband, kiddos and my large extended family. The recipes are also reviewed extensively by our community (that’s you!), and I’m constantly improving and making recipes better based on your feedback. I’m so grateful for you all. Thank you for putting your trust in me and the recipes that I share.
P.S. With alot of video content comes alot of bloopers footage. In case you missed it, you can watch this years new blooper video here.
As we head into the new year, I have you in mind. I want to know if you have any recipe requests. What would make your life easier? What would make a homemade dinner more approachable? More than ever, I want to cook from scratch for my family and hope to inspire you to do the same by making it easy with tried and true, family-friendly, delicious recipes.
