Top 20 Recipes that Won 2023

As we close out another year, it’s always fun to look back and see which recipes you all loved most. We now have nearly 1300 recipes on our site and shared over 100 new recipes last year. These were the Top 20 Must-Try Recipes of 2023.

We dove into our analytics, looked at what recipes you were saving in your recipe boxes, which videos you viewed the most on our Youtube channel, and which recipes were the top rated, and came up with this list. There were obvious trends and it wasn’t too surprising that a few of these have been on the list for several years in a row (hello Banana Bread and Meatloaf) – a classic is a classic, is a classic – right?!

There are recipes that I’ve wanted to conquer for years and I’m excited that they will finally be ready to share. I hope all of the new things will stir you up to head into the kitchen and try something new and get excited about cooking and baking.

    Surprising Trends from 2023

It was fun to spot trends in the recipes you all loved the most which helps to guide us in what to post next. Here’s what all of these recipes seem to have in common:

    • 30-minute recipes – we all love quick and easy meals (especially those one-pan dinners like Beef and Broccoli)
    • Family-friendly – recipes that make everyone happy
    • Classic desserts – you made our Apple Pie internet famous!
    • Comfort food dominance – you love familiar, hearty and homey recipes
    • Healthy yet flavorful choices – recipes like Chickpea Salad and Chicken Fajitas are nutritious without compromising on taste

2023 was a year that I will always remember. It was the year that I met YOU in person. Over the course of my 2-week book tour from coast to coast, I’m guessing I signed at least 7,000 cookbooks and I want to remember your faces forever. It was such a joy to have met you and get to know you even a little bit. There was something so special about meeting you in person. I feel like it has forever drawn my bar of excellence even higher – to bring you recipes that you will instantly fall in love with. I’m telling you, it’s going to be a fantastic and delicious 2024.

I am truly thankful for each, and every one of you. Thank you for trying my recipes and sharing them with the peopel you love. I just imagine all of the nostalgic food memories you all are creating with our recipes and that blesses me so much.

      Hi Natacha! This looks great!

Have you considered posting more restaurant quality dishes…thinks like penne alla vodka that you teach us how to make in our own home? That would be great!

Also, have you considered getting a pateron account? It’s where people can pay for premium videos and recipes and behind the scenes (found no where else on your blog)…I know of some popular YouTubers who have them.

Hi Madeline, I have a great recipe for Penne alla Vodka. It’s one of my son’s favorite dishes. I hope you love it also. We don’t currently have plans for a Patreon. Without growing our team even more, I don’t think I could keep up with another platform like that.
