This Mango Pineapple Smoothie recipe was inspired by Maui where mangos and pineapples grow wild and free (and where we’ve been hanging out for the past week). Even the pineapples in the Maui Costco are phenomenal. You could probably eat half of one and not have that burning tongue feeling. They’re locally grown and so incredibly sweet!
We’ve been talking about taking a vacation for a loooong time. Between work, blogging, ministry, being a Mama and wife, and everything else in between,… I was starting to feel run down. I needed a vacation; we all did! The weather was beautiful all week long so we all came back nicely tanned.
Too bad it was only 6 days. It should have been more like 16 (but I’d like to think you all would miss me ;)). I hope you’ve been following along on Instagram and Facebook to see the happenings of our vacation (Did you like the whale jump video?). Thanks for being patient with me as I took forever sometimes to answer questions, I’m so sorry I was at the beach and the laptop didn’t follow me there ;). Love you all and I hope you enjoy this little bit of Maui.

1 medium ripe mango (2 cups), peeled

Plz Do Recipes with wheatgrass juice powder.
I Just don’t know how to use it in recipes.
Thx
Hi Sherry! Thank you for the suggestion. Glad you loved the recipe.
Tropical Mango smoothie calls for Almond milk. Can it be substituted with Coconut milk?
I haven’t tested that but I think it could work. If you experiment, let me know how you liked the recipe, Lisa.
Love, love, watching you share recipes. The videos are so much help ,thank you for sharing your techniques.
You’re welcome, Mary. I hope you’ll love all the recipes that you will try!
Natasha, you’re my life saver! All of your recipes are wonderful. I just bought the Blentec blender and it worked perfectly for this smoothies. Thank you again for such amazing recipes!
You’re so nice! Thank you, Kay! The best smoothies! I hope you love them all!
It is so good just a lil to sweet but it good
I’m so happy you enjoyed that, Valencia. Thank you for sharing that with us!
I love this drinks.
You are a natural born chef.
Do you have a single serving recipe?
(Loved the smoothie by the way.)
Hi Pearl, that’s a great question. If you scroll down to the printable recipe hover over the red “4” and choose how many servings your would like. I hope that helps.
It was awesome!!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
This still rocks in late 2018!
Thanks for sharing.
I wanted to use some orange juice so I substituted the orange and water with orange juice and a splash of water. Great taste!
Sometimes I feel that juice and smoothies can be too sweet or too concentrated in their flavour so I add water or ice cubes. It works great for this particular smoothie too.
I’m so happy you enjoyed that. Thank you for sharing that with us!
This was so yummy! I followed recipe exactly and it was perfect. Great way to get my two year old interested in fruit.
Noelle, thank you for such a nice review. Even my 10 month old drinks smoothies 😃.
I like the fact that you used whole oranges instead of juice! I never by orange juice but I always buy a box of oranges from Costco that I use in my smoothies instead of juice! I feel that juice negates some of the purpose and health benefits of making a smoothie in the first place.
I completely agree and the pulp adds some fiber, so it’s a much healthier smoothie! Thanks Chelley! 🙂
Loved this recipe and so did my four year old and two year old. I love how you give susbstitutions for things moms have like clementines. Thank you!!!
Thank you for the great review Christina and you are welcome :).

Thank you so much for featuring my recipe. You’re awesome! 🙂
Absolutely loved it! My sister suggested to add half of the banana or to omit it. Will try that next time, but I loved the pulp from pineapple and the flavor is so yummy!
A banana can overtake a smoothie depending on the size of it 🙂
Wow this looks so refreshing! Definitely will give it a try…or two 😉
Or three 😉 I hope you love it!!
I’m sooo jealous you went to Hawaii!! Have you thought of doing a vacation review? Where you stayed, ate, etc?? I’ve been thinking of going to Maui for over a year now and love to know your experience. Thanks!!
We stayed in Kihei. I’d recommend you check out the VRBO site to see if you can rent something directly from someone. 🙂 Kihei is nice because it doesn’t get as much rain as other parts of the island. I thought of posting pictures but a vacation review; well, we didn’t really explore much on this trip. We beach bummed daily and just wanted to rest. But we really liked the Coconuts fish cafe (fish tacos!), and the sunrise whale watch through pacific whale foundation. The aquarium is also nice (look for a Visa discount online). 🙂
We’ve been to Maui too many times to count, west Maui is great. Lahaina, and kaanapali has beautiful weather, not as windy, and lots of things to do. The beaches are really nice in that area as well, especially Napili and Kapalua. Kapalua is beautiful but just a bit cooler and has a sprinkle in the night usually. Kihei is nice because it’s closer to the activities such as whale watching and the Maui ocean center, and it’s more dry.
Kihei does seem to be good location wise, but seriously the entire island is incredibly breathtaking! Do you have a property up there or how do you usually locate a place to stay in Maui?
No, we don’t. Just we vacation there. God’s creation is amazing!
Totally! I wonder how close Hana compares to the Garden of Eden? Happy thought, eh?
Thank you so much!! I’ve heard about the rain 🙁 This gives me a place to start anyway. That’s all I want to do is relax. Kids will love the beach! Thank you for replying.
Kids do love the beach and a boogy board is a must (can be purchased there). There are areas on the beaches where it’s fun to have a little net to catch tiny fish. Walmart in Maui has little hand held nets and they also have little buckets that sit in the water to keep the water cool that you can collect fish in.
I enjoyed the pics you posted, just should have posted more 🙂 We have never been to Maui, only Oahu. On our list of places to visit 🙂
When we were in Oahu we couldn’t find locally grown pineapples… That was weird because half of Oahu is covered in pineapple farms.
That is weird! We found local ones at Costco for $3 each and they were huge! 🙂 we’ve never been to Oahu…
Can’t wait to try this…love this combination of fruit. my hubby is allergic to mango unfortunately so I can’t have it too often:(. Do you add any liquid like orange juice?
Thanks for sharing a bit of paradise, this recipe and the pics…Maui is amazing!!! Glad you got a break. Its nice to get a way from the daily routine. Its our annual family vacation spot and we can’t get enough of it..love it!
Oh bummer about the mango allergy :(. I just add 1 cup water usually, but almond milk works well too. It’s definitely nice to get away and re-group. What part of Maui do you love most? We stayed in the Kihei area.
Oops…sorry just saw the water or almond milk is the first ingredient…lol:) next time I will have to make it first before commenting. I got too excited I guess, I love mangos!!
We usually stay more on the west maui side, kaanapali or kapalua. The beaches are so nice up there.
No worries 🙂 I get excited about mangos too. lol. The first time we were in Maui we visited nearly every beach there. There’s something amazing about every one of them! This visit, we just bummed on the same beach and really tried to relax. 🙂
Best combination ever! I love anything mango so I know this smoothie must be phenomenal!
It is uber good! 🙂 I love anything with mango in, on and around it.
Wow, Natasha, I hope you had lots of fun in Maui. It is such a nice contrast: from snow right into summer.
My husband ( his name is Vadim too;) and I were married in March, and went to Maui for our honeymoon. We had snow here in WA back then; at the end of March!
Beautiful whale jump shot and photos of sunset.
I’m glad you liked the pictures! Yeah, it’s definitely a nice contrast to go visit summer in the middle of winter 😉 It was wonderful!
