Avocado feta Caesar salad on a plate

This Avocado Feta Caesar Salad was a huge hit with my family. They cleaned out the bowl. We’ve been so into salad lately which has helped me shed the few extra pounds that I gained from nursing school. The ingredient that put this salad into over the top  yumm was the homemade caesar dressing

Ingredients for Avocado Feta Caesar Salad:

2 large heads of romaine lettuce
1-2 avocados
3 medium tomatoes
1 yellow or red bell pepper
1 small red onion
1/2 cup feta cheese
1 cup Caesar dressing (We used half of this Caesar dressing recipe)

Ingredients for avocado feta Caesar salad on the table

How to Make Avocado Feta Caesar Salad:

1. Chop the romaine lettuce. Rinse and dry the lettuce using this OXO salad spinner (Amazon affiliate link). Place in a large serving bowl.

P.S. If you want to have salad ready to go, just put it in a giant zip loc bag after you spin it dry and store it in the fridge.

I like to add a little bit of dressing to the leaves at this point if I’m serving it right away to make sure the lettuce gets a nice coating of it.

2. Slice the tomatoes, red bell pepper and avocados. Add them to the bowl.

3. Finely chop red onion and sprinkle it over the salad along with the feta cheese.

4. Just before serving, drizzle with Caesar dressing and mix. Oh snap; I forgot croutons. Toss them in too.

I made this dinner last because it’s salad time here in hot/humid Florida weather. It was soooo good and easy to throw together. Will keep it on the rotation. I used the Ceasar dressing, but added anchovies paste. Yum Yum!

Hey, just wanted to say that I recently bought the OXO Salad Spinner, and I am so thrilled with it!!! We planted a large crop of romaine lettuce, spinach, and curly lettuce this year, so there was no way I could get by without a salad spinner. It would just take too long to dry the greens on paper towels.
    Thanks for your recommendation, I went out and bought the OXO. I love using it! Works like a charm! (;

My mother was my biggest cheerleader while i was in Grad School and my mother in law was such a huge support. I was pregnant my last semester of school and couldnt cook. Becoming a mother 3 years ago, I learned that it is the most selfless and most difficult job I could ever do but also the most rewarding one. I love to see my children happy and coming to me as their number 1 person! Everyday, I aspire to be like my mother. I can truly say I can see Jesus shining through her! I’m so thankful to have her as my mother.
Happy Mother’s Day to all you hardworking, selfless mommies out there. Our job is never done!

    1. Being a mom is the best job in the world. It has its challenges between school, work, being a wife and trying to be the best of a mom, but at the end of the day coming home to see them smile and being surrounded by all their love and kisses makes it so worth it! Its a challenge and probably impossible trying to the “perfect” mom but at least i know I’m doing the best i can.
In my life i would like to the mom that my mother has been. She has surrounded me with love, joy, comfort and pure happiness. She made me become the happy and jolly person i am today. Not only is she my best friend but throughout my entire youth she was always the person i can talk to when in doubt, in shame or just needed a shoulder to cry on. Above all she raised me to be a daughter of God and taught me how to love Jesus.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! I am blessed with 3 wonderfun kids that God gave us and even though it’s hard at times, I’m so glad they are part of my life. I don’t know how my mom or my mother-in-law raised 8-9 kids each in hard conditions back home. Being moms is the hardest job in the world in my opinion and at the same time so rewarding. Happy Mother’s Day again and may God help us to be the best moms and to be the light to our kids.

My Mom passed away 6 years ago…and was the most amazing Mom anybody can have. She was very strong in every way. She went through a lot during the WW2…….as a teenager. But she never let anything down and was always there to support us and worked very hard till she got ill. Her Ukie home cooking was the best and I’ve never had anybody’s else that would match up to it. I have all her Ukrainian recipes and will pass them down to the Family.

I am abundantly blessed. Not many people get to say that they have 3 Mothers. My mom has been an amazing support to me. She watched my 3 children (my second I had right in the middle of the nursing program). She has been my biggest cheerleader. My mother-in-law and step mother-in-law treat me as if I am their own. All three of these wonderful women have lived very hard lives. They share their knowledge from their life experiences in very kind and gentle ways. I am honored to be their daughter.

I absolutely love being a mother. It is my calling and I am very passionate about it. Thank you Natasha for your help in this. I love cooking for them and your blog has helped me in this. On those days I just didn’t know what to make, I’ve prepared great meals using your recipes. God bless you and your family. I hope you enjoy this mother’s day. Congratulations on finishing nursing school.

    Happy Mother’s Day Natasha!!!

This year is the first for me! I became a mom to a beautiful daughter just two plus months ago and I’m loving it! Now I can’t imagine my life without my precious sweetie! Sure it’s a lot of full time devotion but I find it so rewarding! I’m so looking forward to a lifetime of being a mom! Slowly but surely I’m starting to understand my mom better 🙂 When I was a kid I used to think that she was way too overprotective, etc… but after some discussions with my husband, I know that we will be quite protective over our priceless gift from God for sure!

My mother… is my Dear Hero.
She’s Always set a good example by lending a hand to those in need. She’s Caring and trustworthy, has a kind and loving heart. Always ready to listen. Even though I didn’t like it when at times she’d punish me when I was younger, the nights spent on her knees paid off. Her prayers have really meant a lot to me. She’s taught me everything I know from the simplest to the hardest things. She’s taught me to walk and fly on my own because she knows that one day I will be leaving the nest like a little birdie. And even then I know she will encourage me and keep me in her prayers like she has all these years. She is my hero never losing faith in me, when everyone else has, telling me that I can do it!

To Mom: ” You are my hero Mom and always will have a special place in my heart. Without you guiding me in every step I would have fallen Long ago, But you have lead me onto the right path and showed me the path to Christ. I pray to be the patient, kind, and loving mother that you always are. So that my children can look up to me just like I look up to You. I love You my Dear Hero and Mom. Happy Mothers Day”

She taught me how to cook and I really think that is how I won over my husband Volodia’s heart. I try to be like her in everything that I do. My children Alexander and Anastasia where 2 and 5 when she passed away and one morning while they where playing in the yard, I found them trying to get a huge ladder up. When I asked Anastasia what she was doing she told me that they were going to climb to heaven and bring baba home….and since her passing both of my children remember her daily!! I hope to one day be a awesome baba like she was to my kids. I miss her terribly but I know that she is our angel and watches over us..

I love my Mama because she has taught me the most about life and cooking out of all the amazing women in my life. A young man once said, “There are so many different verions and translations of the Holy Bible, but I’ve never had any doubts wether I’m reading the correct translation. For me, the most accurate translation of the Bible is the one that my mama reads, because she deosnt only read it, she lives it out in her daily life.” Thats my mama too, and she is a role model for me. I want to be as godly, wise, and humble as she is. May God bless her and all the other moms out there. May He give you all strength to raise your children and discipline them so they grow up and serve our Lord for His glory. May the name of our Lord be praised in all your lives. Wanted to share about my mom, whom I miss so much. 6 years ago we said goodbye to an angel sent to earth by God. She was not only my mom, but a best friend that I considered so close. She always put others first, she always looked at the brighter side. She took care of her family so well, she always knew the right thing to say at the right time. She treated every one of us 4 kids fairly, she loved she cared and she prayed. Most of all, she loved God unconditionally. Sadly. During surgery, at a doctors mistake (but Gods will) God called his angel back to heaven. So now as I take on the role of being a mother of 2 I constantly can grab examples of the way mom used to be as a wife\mom/ woman of God. And I strive towards a magnificent future with my family, knowing that someday we will all enter eternity and answer for all of our roles that God has given us. God bless all mothers!! It IS NOT an easy role! 🙂

Being a mom is such a blessing! Im so thankful that God blessed me with the opportunity to become a mother 🙂 First it makes u be more appreciative of ur own parents, especially mom, and there are just so many little things that u learn from your own kiddos 🙂 its fascinating! The joy that kids bring into ur life is indescribable and u will only realize what that is once u hold your little newborn for the first time 🙂 a wise person once said “a baby fills a place in your heart that you never knew was empty” and it’s so true!! Hey Natasha! Your blog is awesome! I love coming here and getting recipes! They are all so yummy that just reading your recipes I’m hungry, lol. I love being a mom because I see how greatly God has blessed me with amazing girls! It the best feeling in the world when they tell you that they love you or just looking into their eyes, my heart melts! Jhasmine absolutely loves cooking and helping with cleaning (always insists on washing dishes after a meal). She wants to always try out new recipes an you blog is awesome to see the pictures (since she’s more visual and learning to read), so it makes it easier for her to pick out what she wants to help cook that day. Children and precious gifts from God and I am truly blessed to have them in my life!

My mom is a truly amazing woman. She raised 13 of us and many times I don’t know how she did it! Of course with God’s mighty hand helping her make wise choices when it came to us misbehaving. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful mother and am proud to call her mom. I’m grateful for all she has done for me and my siblings! I love my mama!

I enjoy being a stay home mom. It is a blessing to be in this position. Raising children with eternal soul. My husband always tells me I am the one who has a hard job. Knowing the Lord and having him as a guide and understanding it is his children we are raising; is an honor. I love being a mom and enjoy every second of it. Happy Mothers Day to all the mamas out there! We always need to find our strength in the Lord each day!

Amen! We definitely need a daily dose of God’s strength and being a Mom is the most difficult job in the world. It’s 24×7. But it’s also the most rewarding. I can’t describe the feeling I get when my son is standing at the front of the church with his Sunday school class; even if he is just twiddling his thumbs and looking cute.

My Mom is amazing. In the last 3 years she lost my dad and both her parents and throughout the entire time she helped me get through my terrible pregnancy and has been flying back and forth from Florida (almost every 2 weeks) to help me raise my 2 1/2 year old twins. I’m a single mom working full time and couldn’t have done it without her. G-d bless moms

LOve all the veggies in that salad.

I love all my kitchen memories from my mom and grandmothers’ kitchens. I cherish all the family recipes passed down by them.
