Food Videos Camera Tricks (VIDEO)
Over the past 5 years, we have created hundreds of food videos with plenty of time to practice our camera tricks. My husband does an awesome job of video editing, making food, objects and even people appear, disappear and transform.

We always try to make you do the double take and sometimes our tricks cause considerable (and unintended) discomfort, like the controversial chicken video. Ha! Enjoy this video which has all of our favorite camera trick moments so far.
Watch our Food Video Camera Tricks:
We film only our very best recipes but we think they should be delicious AND entertaining so we have fun with our video edits.
Zach King has been a major inspiration for us in video tricks and illusion videos. It’s easy to get stuck on his Youtube page for awhile!
Let me know which of our food videos or camera tricks was your favorite? Also, if you have a (reasonable) suggestion for a camera trick, let me know in a comment below!
Hey Natasha! I just watched the video showing all the tricks that you use in your cooking videos. I gotta tell you: they are great. Huge compliments to both you and your husband. They‘re so entertaining they almost make you forget that you originally „only“ wanted a recipe! By the way, my favorite recipe is your cinnamon bun recipe which I‘ve made so often. I live here in Germany and all my friends beg me to make them when Fall rolls around. So thank you! (To both of you) You always make me smile 🙂
Helo Rosemarie, thank you for your good comments and feedback, we appreciate you sharing this with us! It helps inspire us to do better and create more videos and recipes. Take care and hoping that you will love all the recipes that you will try!

Love it.

I really do love the camera tricks. My favorite is the one with the peppers coming out of the iPad… but the ones with two of you are pretty awesome too.
Thanks, Rachel! I am so glad that you are enjoying my videos and tricks.

I will like to order, your cook book? How can I order them?
Hi Florence, we do not have one at the moment but stay tuned!
Hi Natasha, I love your videos and humor. My favorite trick was the one of two Natashas. How did you manage to do that?! God bless you.
Vadim is a master with his video skills 🙂 Thank you for watching!
Oh my I love these. I just really wish I had those tricks in real life 😅😅 but I love the chicken. Especially bc of the fact we always ate mamas chickens but I know how weird people are about eating chickens they have seen alive before 😂
I’m so happy you enjoyed this video, Inna! Thank you for watching!
i love it, especially the ipad to bowl peppers. I enjoy cooking and Ihave a video background. Do you shoot in a studio on green screen or manage to turn your kitchen into a virtual set? Love it all!
Hi Melissa, that pepper trick is quite popular! I’m so happy you are enjoying our videos. That is our actual kitchen in our home. 🙂
I loved this video and my favorite was the peppers flying into the bowl!
So fun! Thank you for that feedback!
Wow that was a great video to watch! My favorite was the one with the ipad and peppers flying out of it. That was so cool! Love your recipes! Keep up the good work!!!
I’m so inspired reading your review. Thank you!
Hello Natasha and Vadim! What a nice Sunday morning surprise. I was looking for a Beet Salad recipe and the first one that came to my search was your Beet Salad w/arugula…this will be our dinner tonight. Your blogs are fun, I specially liked the camera tricks :))) Thank you guys, I will be regular now ,
Awww that’s the best! Thank you so much for sharing that with me :). I’m all smiles!
Love this! May favorite ones are the ones with the two Natashas! Beauty and cuteness doubled, and just think how handy it would be to have ‘her’ around sometimes! LOL
Ha ha, I keep saying to my husband if only I can double myself. I really need another assistant that can get into my brain and do 100 things for me ;). Thank you so much for your sweet comment 🙂
I always love watch your funny tricks! Thank you and don’t stop 🙂
I’m so happy you enjoyed that. Thank you for sharing that with us, Ilona!
I love your videos the way they are. You are amazing, Natasha!!! Keep up your good work. Can’t wait to see more of your recipes!!!
Thank you for that wonderful compliment!
I like the one with the ipad and bell peppers flying out of it. I have never seen it before. The snapping with fingers is the most common one but the ipad one is pretty cool. Keep up the good work.
I’m so happy to hear that! Thank you for that wonderful feedback!!
lol, I am not an old school, but when it comes to the cooking, I prefer videos without any tricks when cutting / chopping veggies or removing food from dishes. I like more standard way 🙂 But it is me. A good trick with chicken, but I know it doesn’t come out that magically from alive chicken to the chicken that you can buy in the store. 🙂
Thank you for your feedback Ann 🙂
