Do 3 ingredients count as a recipe? This Egg Noodles with Chicken pasta is so simple, quick and surprisingly tasty! The only thing that needs cookin’ are the noodles. Its works great as a to-go lunch because it’s just as good  chilled. I make this when I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to cook.

Ingredients for Egg Noodles with Chicken:

16 oz Wide Egg Noodles
1  (12.5 oz) can White Meat Chicken
3/4 cup Real Mayonnaise

How to Make Egg Noodles With Chicken and Mayo:

1. Boil the egg noodles in salted water until al dente (cook according to instructions on package). Drain and rinse with cold water.

2. Drain the can of chicken and combine with  3/4 cup mayo in a small bowl, breaking the chicken into small pieces.

3. In a medium bowl, combine the noodles and chicken mixture until the noodles are coated.
Voila!

Notes:

Pasta will continue “cooking” until it’s rinsed with cold water.
You can use 1/2 cup of mayo to cut the fat; it just tastes better with the 3/4 cup.

I love this stuff. My mom use to make it for me when I was little. We add peas though. My husband and kids aren’t fans though. Just means more for me! 🙂

Oooh that’s true; it is good on the skillet the next day; the pasta gets crisp and so does the chicken. Mmmmm. 🙂

    Hello Natasha,

Do you think that canned tuna will work fine instead of white chicken? What are your thoughts on that substitution?

    Thanks!

Yes, I’ve made it with tuna when I was out of chicken. Still very good 🙂

Add fresh shredded carrots and finely chopped celery for a fantastic pasta salad. It’s one of those dishes that I can actually get vegetables into my 3 year old.

Egg noodles have a really good flavour to them! I’ll often throw some in with frozen peas and then eat it drenched in butter! 🙂
