Honey butter is so easy to whip up and it is such a treat with dinner rolls, melted over warm banana bread or spread on pumpkin bread! We add a touch of cinnamon for a whipped cinnamon honey butter.

You can make this days ahead so it is perfect for holiday entertaining. It feels fancy but making flavored butter is easier than you think and takes less than 5 minutes. Try it over a loaf of home-baked Crusty French Bread – yum!

Honey Butter Recipe:

What is Honey Butter? It is essentially softened butter that is whipped and sweetened with honey. Other flavorings can be added, like a dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon. The cinnamon is optional but we love it during the cooler Autumn and winter months. This has the simplest ingredients:

How to Make Honey Butter:

This flavored butter is a 4-minute recipe and doesn’t get any easier. All you need is a mixing bowl and an electric hand mixer.

  1. Beat butter until fluffy (3 minutes)
  2. Beat in honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using).

What to Serve with Sweet Butter:

Honey butter elevates breakfast dishes and bread. This is very similar to the Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter that is served with dinner rolls that everyone loves.

This sweet butter is an easy way to dress up breakfast. Imagine biting through a generous layer of honey-flavored butter and into the softest pumpkin bread (recipe coming soon). It’s almost like a frosting. We especially love to serve it on:

How to Store Honey Butter:

This keeps well at room temperature (70˚F or cooler) and covered for up to 2 days. To make it last longer, cover and refrigerate sweet butter up to 2 weeks. You can even freeze it up to 2 months. Bring to room temperature before serving.

Flavored Butter Mix-In Ideas:

You can change up the flavor of honey butter with different spices, extracts, and even fruit-flavored jam. Let me know if you try any new flavor combinations that you love. I’m also so curious about what you love to serve it with.

Try this: make a variety of sweet-flavored butter and serve them next to this gorgeous Wreath Bread. Everyone will be so impressed. Flavored butter is such a treat for entertaining and is perfect for the holiday table.

Paired this with your Milk Bread Rolls recipe from your new cookbook per our 18 year old son’s request for Christmas dinner(he gifted me your cookbook for Christmas!) – AMAZING as expected! He’s always been an exceptionally picky eater – but any recipe of yours is an absolute hit with him! This is a keeper for sure!

Hi Shayla, I honestly cannot guarantee that since I haven’t tested that to advise. I hope it works fine if you do an experiment!
