Now, for the BIG QUESTION:
What do you want to see more of on this blog? (Dessert, Salad, Cooking Tips, Video tutorials, Events and Menus, Slow Cooker stuff, etc, etc,)?? I want to know!
Tell me in a comment below so I can quit all this pondering (7 – sorry I couldn’t help myself). Thanks! I value your input.
I LOVE your site; most of all ‘your’ videos so then I can actually “see” how you make your recipes. I’ve shown my hubby some of your recipes; he called you “laughing lady”….so now when I refer to a recipe to see if he’d enjoy it…he asks where I got it from…I delightly answer him…from the laughing lady site. hehe’
Plz. keep up your awesome videos. & thx bunches for all
Aww that’s the best! Thank you for sharing that with me, Janet!
Hi Natasha, I love your cake/desert recipes but as I have recently bought an air fryer I would love to see your lovely recipes converted to that style of cooking and some new ones to tackle the air fryer eg: the rice arancini balls, salmon and even cake can be cooked in it apparently. Thanks for the entertaining cook ups.
Hi Jenny, Thank you for the suggestion and I’m so glad you love our recipes! We do plan to slowly integrate instructions for the air fryer as much as we can when testing recipes!
I’m a huge fan! I do have some trouble because I cook for 2, my husband and I. Most of the recipes are for families. And so much butter, cream cheese and heavy whipping cream..yikes !! It’s all good in moderation. I have made your baklava recipe several times It was sort of tedious but Family and friends thought I was the bomb for creating such a delightful yummy dessert. I get asked to make it quite often 😊 Thank you.
You’re welcome! I’m so happy you enjoy our recipes, yes everything in moderation!
Thank you Natasha for your hard work. I really enjoy your recipes. I made some of them. Your website is very organized and easy to navigate. I suggest to all my friends and family to use your site for any recipe.
Keep up the good work.
My pleasure Liann! I’m happy to hear how much you enjoy my site. Thanks for following and sharing the love!
Natasha. Please posts more posts of cooked meat. Especially beef and chicken w/o the grill though. PLEASEEEEEEEEE!
I’ll take that into STRONG consideration 🙂
Hi Natasha, I recently came across your web page and prepared a few of your recipes. Unlike other webs, your recipes came out tasting great!!! I’ve always wanted to find out how to make that salt and pepper shrimp at chinatown buffet restaurants and fried crab, I love seafood!!! I’d love to see some more cakes too 🙂
Keep up the great work
Gods blessings 🙂
I have enjoyed your Ukrainian and Russian recipes the most. I just made your strawberry layer cake for my husband’s birthday and everyone loved it! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome Sonia, I’m glad everyone loved it.
I’ve got another idea for you to ponder. Many of us have kids, (or one day might). Kid friendly foods, lunchbox ideas (I know your son doesn’t start school for another few years though, but that will give you a chance to ponder on some ideas).
I know we don’t want to cater to our kids’ picky eating behaviours, but sometimes I just want to whip up something easy that they can enjoy, besides Mac’n’Cheese (we’ve all done that right?)
Another one is baby food, my youngest is 8 months old, and I don’t want to buy baby jar food (except when out and about for convenience). I just cut up a bunch of veggies, boil them, and call that a meal. But any other suggestions for simple foods will work.
By the way, my 5 year old likes to watch your “cooking shows”, he then tries to retell me what I need to do (like for that recent bread recipe you posted). Maybe you can make up videos that shows your “little man” making a simple recipe with you, that would be cute.
Oksana, thanks so much for the feedback! That’s cute that your son likes to watch the “cooking shows.” 🙂 Awww. I’ll definitely take that into consideration and making a video with my son would be fun 🙂 In the mean time, check out weelicious for good recipes for the little ones 🙂
Thanks, that’s great. Just googled the website weelicious, and it looks like I’ll definitely be looking at that site for kids’ food ideas.
My wife and I love the recipe for Pickiling the Costco Peppers with Garlic and Dill. We have shared it with many, taken it to an Easter Dinner for 30 people and my wife shared it with her nutritionist, who was very impressed. Do you have any other pickling recipes? Thanks in Advance. Paul in MI
That’s awesome! Thank you for sharing the recipe with others. I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed it so much. Have you tried this one? https://natashaskitchen.com/2012/07/26/how-to-pickle-pickles-refrigerator-pickles-that-is/ Also, this marinated salad is quite good!: https://natashaskitchen.com/2012/12/10/marinated-vegetable-salad/
I wish all your recipes were available in a cookbook, so you could quickly leaf through the pages and find the perfect recipe to make 🙂
One day. 🙂
Hi Natasha! I very much enjoy your website and all the recipes are beautifully made. I would like to see more of desserts (any desserts cakes, jello, mouse) and also main course. Thank you so much for your effort and all that you do to help!
You’re welcome Angelina 🙂 Thanks for your input!
I would like to see variety of food, easy prep, more challenging, for kids and adults, etc. I like to read your reviews of a dish or comments. I usually like to see comments like ” o I cooked this and that and my husband or guest had a blast or they liked it so much that they were asking for receipt…. “, etc, etc…… It’s like I want to make a new dish but don’t want to waste ingredients if our family won’t like it…. … y l
I would like to see more ukrainian recipes in deserts, main dishes and menu for guests. It’s nice to be able to make really good tasting traditional recipes. Even better, to have the tradition past on 🙂
Natasha,
my co-worker introduced me to your website because I was looking to get more in touch with my cultures foods. My family came from Ukraine in the early 1900’s so a lot of our recipes have been lost over the years. I am excited to see some recipes that my grandfather talked about eating as a child and can not wait to try them out! Thank you for the amazing website I will be using this many times!!
Jillian
I’m so happy it brings back memories for you 🙂 Welcome to the blog!
First of all, i want to say Thank YOU for all of the awesome recipes you post ! I check your blog daily, seriously. Second, i really appreciate how you post the pictures for us to see, in other words, your just amazing!
One thing i would like to see more, is vegetables and more grains recipes.
Thanks a lot Natasha !!!!
So many pins, so exciting! You just keep doing what you are doing, because obviously it’s working.;)
buuuuuut if you really want my 2 cents, some slow cooker recipes might be nice. 🙂
There are a ton of slow cooker requests. Looks like I need to invest in a new slow cooker for motivation (mine is a little small and not that great!)
Love your recipes! I’d like to see healthy and tasty slow cooker recipes with a russian/ukrainian twist. thanks!
Ohh, I like that thought! 🙂
Hi Natasha! It would be nice to see kitchen tricks such as rinsing rice or buckwheat without losing half of it in the sink!
I can answer that really quick; every cook should have an OXO Strainer
. It makes both jobs WAY EASIER!!
You should totally post more about you and your cute family……. It makes it seem as if I really know you guys therefore I can trust all your recipe secrets…lol….
Thanks Anutka 🙂 I always wonder if people are interested in that side of my life or if they just want recipes.
Has anybody told you how awesome you are? Yes? Okay then. One more time won’t hurt. But I bet you didn’t get another one from Australia. LOL. Ti molodshina. Shikarno gotovish.
AWWW Thanks Sara. It is so exciting to hear from someone on the other side of the world! You are equally awesome!
I would LOVE to see some slow cooker recipes. Your salsa was the only one I tried in my brand new slow cooker 🙂 I’ve been trying to look for more but dont know if I could trust any of them. Your site is one of the few that I trust will turn out amazing no matter what I choose to make. Thank you for all the time, effort and dedication you put into this blog! You truly are a blessing 🙂
I have a slow cooker pork coming soon. But slow cooker recipes have been a major request. I’ll put more effort into it! 😉
I agree. I don’t usually pin either. I use Pinterest, but don’t pin my own items (I just go around stealing other people’s pins). And after I pondered, I found it interesting that your most popular pins are kind of “just regular food” and not your Russian/Ukrainian specialties. That’s what drew me to your website. I’m in Ukraine now, we just adopted a 15 yr old boy and I want to know who to make some of his traditional meals (and some of the things that I’ve been eating the last few months!). Thanks for all your good work & yummy recipes! 🙂 Keep it up. Oh, and obviously (I think) I would like to see more Ukrainian and Russian meals. ;0)
I don’t pin usually. But I’m all for the Russian & Ukrainian recipes. Spasibo!
56,000 pins?!!! that’s crazy insane! Good job!
Thank you 🙂 People just amaze me and I’m thankful for each one of those shares!
Love your website…would love to see more meatless, healthy recipes as well as slow cooker recipes. You’re doing a great job, keep up the good work.
definately slow cooker recepies pleasse!
I agree with the votes for traditional Russian and Ukrainian food. We are moving to Ukraine in November, so traditional recipes are what I enjoy the most. 🙂
U would love to see more slow cooker recipes and pictures of me ! Just random ones I could be the where’s Waldo of ur blog huh
Eh eh?
Oh my gosh! Why didn’t I think of that sooner??? LOL
I would love more videos!!! It makes recipes so crystal clear!
Interesting post, lovely to see the most popular recipes! Trubochki definitely deserve to be # 3 most pinned item. I’d like to see more recipes for traditional Russian/Ukrainian cakes/desserts.
love yr recepies…. but i love salads, i know it’s healthy and good to have some salad on nice spring days… Don’t know if you interested in raw food. Would be nice to try something if you cook that as well… Thank you.
More kosher-friendly Russian recipes, please! My mother never taught me how to cook, and my grandmother didn’t get around to it in time. I know there’s a LOT of pork in Russian cuisine, so I really appreciate the recipes that work with our diet.
I like your website a lot! Easy to use, nicely organized, interesting and many many good recipes : )
I would like to see more of the slow cooker recipes, since it makes cooking so much easier and quicker (well the prep time). Also just any main dish that takes minimal amount of time to make. Thanx much : )

Hi, Natasha. First of all I love your recipes and would love to see more main everyday foods. Since I plan my menu for 2 weeks from your site.
More authentic Russian food 🙂 old classics like mom used to do 🙂
Oh, this is such a fun post. How did you find out how many pins your recipes had? I have no idea how to do that. I can see how many times recipes have been viewed by looking at my stats but would love to see how many times things have been pinned! Three on this list I have pinned are the cupcakes, the frosting, and the artisan bread. 🙂 I’d love slow cooker recipes! I use it more in the winter for some reason, but it’s great for cooking in summer too so you don’t have to heat up the kitchen.
The pinterest button on the bottom of every post keeps a tally for me 🙂 I don’t know of an easier way to figure it out. I just went by the button! Thanks Veronica 🙂
Aw shucks you have better technology than me. I’m in the cyber stone age! Thanks anyway.
Hi Natasha,
I don’t have any ideas for you, because all you do is super great! But I just wanted to let you know that you have a very good website/blog layout. To me that means a lot, I don’t like going on blogs where it’s not very pretty and not easy to navigate through. Your website is simple, which makes it really nice. 🙂
Hello Natasha! I love your blog and check everyday for new recipes. Everything that I try turns out amazing! I would love to see more slow cooker recipes and also more recipes for dinner with meat:) Thank you so much for your blog!
I would love to see sandwiches, canapes, and appetizers ! 🙂
Definately more slow cooker recipes. I have a lot of cookbooks with slow cooker recipes, but I dont have all the time in the world to test them all to discover which ones are the keepers. It’d be nice to know which recipes are the “tried and true”. Thank you very much; you do a great job with the blog. Keep ’em coming! Blessings
Summer is coming, cooking on the grill for family, entertaining outside on weekends, easy simple meals, drinks, finger food. I don’t pin, but have been spreading the word about your website to my Ukie church family. Had Lenten services this past Wednesday and the left over kolach loaf (brought 2) was literally grabbed by the seminarians to take home. Luv your site!!
I would like to see more main dishes and cakes. I love your website thank you for all you do.
Slow cooker recipes. And also cute party ideas like appetizers or deserts that make table pretty or just food decorating ideas
I love love love your desserts!!!!
Hello Natasha 🙂 I made 6 out of those recipes from above makes me so happy haha 🙂 But your blog is my #1 Cookbook. LOvE it sosoooo much!! I think you post a variety of all kinds of foods, I just need more time to try them all 😉 But like someone else mentioned above, more ideas on how to set a table, decoration ideas, etc things of that sort like serving/hosting a party (you’re great at that). Thank you for all your hard work, you really make a great impact for us girls (and gals) out there, be blessed <3
I enjoy seeing recipes from “back in the day.” The nostalgic dishes that used to be common, but aren’t anymore.
Love to see more video tutorials and all the traditional Russian and Ukrainian recipes! And slow cooker, of course 🙂
Hello Natasha
I would love to see more Russian/Ukranian traditional recipes as I am living in Moscow and want to use the ingredients that I see in the shops and markets here. I’m about to do kulich (now that it’s nearly Easter here I managed to lay my hands on the moulds…) I also bought a pelmeni mould to do your chicken pelmeni. Loved your loaded broccoli salad by the way!
Susannah.
Hi…would love more Ukie recipes please…love the ones you have had. Big thank You!
Slow cooker recipes , fast and easy but great tasting too….
More Ukrainian/Russian/German dishes, whatever the course.
How about more finger food, kid-friendly dishes, salads? Would like some slow-cooker ideas as well.
More cakes please with video 🙂
I am raising my hand up for the appetizers…and thank you for all your hard work and commitment.
I would love to see a pre-selected mon-friday menu. Since all your recipes are delicious it would be helpful to get a pre- selected meal plan. 🙂 breakfast, lunch and dinner with a grocery list that’s not long. (Am I asking for too much? )
Natasha you been doing a great job covering all the subjects and post variety of recipes, good tips, gateaways and much more….
I enjoy pinning your recipes into pinterest because love to share them with my followers, friends and family.
Elena
Thank you So much Elena 🙂 I appreciate every single pin!
Natasha, I LOVE your website!!!! I would love to see more main dishes and desserts!!!!! :)))
Thank you for your insightful insight! 🙂
Slow cooker recipes would be nice. I need the easy way out sometimes by letting the slow cooker do the cooking 🙂
Also party foods, finger foods and easy make head appetizers 🙂
Thank you,
I love when the slow cooker does the cooking too!
I know this doesn’t have anything to do with cooking, but it still goes along with food :-). I would like to have some ideas for when we have company over for example: how to dress up the table to make it look elegant without it being overly crowded, or how much food to be served like 5 different dishes or more or less; any fancy ways to fold napkins, when buffet style is appropriate, if it needs to be done only for big groups, etc… Do you get my point?
I can cook, thanks to my mom and some cooking websites ;-). But I am all thumbs when it comes to presenting. I like that you post pictures especially of the finished products, it makes that drool start to form. Lol.
Those are some great suggestions! Thank you!!
I would love to see more appetizers that I could make for my family and guests. More lunch and salad recipes would be great too! Also, to be more specific could you post healthy soup recipes? Hope it’s not too much to ask for!
Thanks a bunch!!

i would love to see more main dish recipes without meat! we not huge meat fans so would be awesome 🙂 thanks for all your hard work!
Maybe I should do something like a meatless monday? Or maybe just more vegetarian dishes 🙂
I like to use the phrase “and let us all take some time to ponder on the mysteries of the universe” lol I would like to see more events and menus, like an outside BBQ menu for my sons 1st birthday party.
Lol. I love the pinky and the brain cartoon. lol. Thanks for he laugh! 🙂 Ohh that’s a great idea! We’re planning to do a BBQ menu for July 4th. When is your son’s party?
All your recipes are just awesome, I was so inspired by your easy to follow recipes and the step by step instructions that I began baking for the first time. I absolutely love being in the kitchen and cooking for my family. Thank you Natasha!

Soup or beans as main dish. Preferably kid friendly(not spicy) so all family could enjoy!
Thank you:-)
Vikulya,
Try this recipe of braised beens. http://lubany-b.livejournal.com/tag/Фасоль
I personally don’t like beens but thought that this recipe was pretty good.
Deffinitly crockpot recipes,….
You’re not the only one to mention the crock pot. Ok! 🙂
Your website is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your recipes. I would like to see more chicken recipes. I don’t care if it’s soup, stir-fry, etc. God bless you and your family!
Chicken is a great (not too expensive) and versatile ingredient! Thanks for your input!
Slow cooker!! Love all your recipes but I DO love my slow cooker for its convenience. Hope to see some more recipes done in this method, especially ones that don’t turn food to mush.
That’s exactly what I want more of! lol. Yeah lazy days are ok with me! 🙂 I have a great pork slow cooker recipe coming soon!
